Sounds like a good plan keeping your cards close to your chest when it comes to savings. Don't want your husband getting ideas above his station!
How's your gran doing? Mine is in and out of hospital at the minute (currently in) and it's such a worry.
That's exciting about your son's subjects - engineering is great to get into and pays well if he sticks at it. I work for an engineering firm and engineers are always in demand, particularly electrical engineers.Sealed Pot Challenge 075

Well the Halifax mortgage advisor has called me back saying they can offer us a mortgage at 1.79% however we wanted to shorted then term but because of the changes coming in august with Abbie attending college on a higher education and my maintenance stopping for her in July they’ve taken these changes into consideration and are offering us a mortgage at 23 years which means we would be playing £250 a month which is buttons however he did say we can overpay up to 10% of our yearly balance so that’s what we will do and he said this will bring our term down rapidly. So he’s phoning back tomorrow to finalise the application and then I need to send paperwork in but I’m delighted that after all this hard work I could have a high street lender and can monitor and send payments via my online banking will just tell the hubby not to log in so he can’t see the overpayments lol 😂
so feeling quite pleased and hopefully it all runs smoothly
sent 6.55 so brings my total to £3483.22 slowly but surely xx
did our massive food shop spent £373 ......whoops but my huge chest freezer is full, my normal freezer is full, my fridge is full and my tin cupboard is fully stocked plus plenty of snacks and juice so set for at least 6 weeks hoping to stretch it to 8 weeks of no big food tops up except fresh items so I’ll take that as a win, except I forgot dishwashing tablets but hubby will grab them when he comes homes from work
managed to get my ironing pile done whilst wee one was sleeping this morning think the early mornings are starting to affect her now poor wee soul is shattered today.
ordered KK new pjs in the very sale so need to go get the picked up after one of my mindee gets collected.
Pelvis is nipping today so I think I’ll do the online gym stretching class and see if that helps me xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.056 -
Congrats Abba, that's amazing news about the mortgage. Overpaying by 10% is good too. There's an overpayment calculator on this website somewhere that you can see how much your term reduces by xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
