Hi, I have a thought today and wondered what peoples advice or experience would be. Im just under 30K in debt, only about 5K of that is with other creditors otherwise the rest is all spread over a loan, overdraft and credit card with Lloyds. Im with a goverment based debt management company that have been handling my debt for the past two yrs and ive had no complaints with them at all, but Lloyds dont seem to be helping me much.. They are leaving the interest as not stated when accepting the agreements with the managment company and going by my statements arnt even reduing the interest so altho im paying them every month im not getting anywhere!! Its still going to take me another 7 yrs to get debt free where as if i took off or reduced the interest that Lloyds are still charging i can shave another 2-3 yrs off that. I have sent my statements into the management company which they have said they will chase, but my thought was, that if i can settle the other two creditors and have my loan, overdraft and credit card remaining all with Lloyds totaling to approx 25K do you think i can approach Lloyds on my own and ask for some help or repaymnt scheme for the full amount and come off the Debt management plan?? Other than going on the plan 2 years ago which has had an effect on my credit rating with Lloyds i have never missed a payment with the plan and never missed or fell into arrears with my payments before i seeked help and i have been with Lloyds since i was little, so surely that should stand for something??? My boyfriend hasnt got any debt and knows im paying off debt but not the full story of the DMP, its my debt and i want to deal and sort it myself without effecting anyone else. the sooner i can get out of this debt, worry and stress of the debt the better as not a day goes by when it doesnt get me down!! Please if anyone can help me clear my debt quicker with any advice im all ears xxx0

well i've done it checked the bank account and was very surprised lol actually looked with one eye opened lol :rotfl: I'm really glad I did those overtime shifts now.
so I transferred £100 straightaway to Capital One so thats something altho not as much as I normally pay, will see how I'm doing towards the end of the month and see If I can pay anything extra altho I do need to pay £15 towards it as thats the estimated interest for this month. Also my balance was £4 less than predicted :j so love it when that happens lol
also got the visa statement for the Halifax card it's going down sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slowly I pay about £35 a month yet only £4 is paid off  can't wait to tackle this lol
I have allocated £100 for DD's party on Sunday at the bowling party so if I come back with anything I will stick it towards the Cap One Card.
Need to go shopping tomorrow as the fridge is bare but need to see whats in the freezer and see what I can make lol aiming to get it under £40 this week.
Also need to hand in the clothing grant for the kids uniform so will have some pennies to put towards there shoes in August.
Just about to settle down in bed with family guy with DD as we are in need of some serious girlie bonding time, shes just in the bath just now but we've been nipping at one another and it's not nice so we had a long talk and hopefully thats it, shes so grown up for her age and I forget shes only 8 well 9 on Sunday and I know at the moment I need to be mum and dad at the moment which tbh is very very tiring but i get there but it does get to me and sometimes I feel myself slipping into a world of self pity which for anyone who knows me I don't do at all
enough of me rambling away lol hope everyone is well xNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050
