I was shocked when my daughter googled my name and my details and hers were in plain view. I am ex directory and I have asked for my details to be hidden from electoral role. How do I remove the details?

to remove my electoral roll record. This was 2 weeks ago. This was sent be registered post and I have proof of signature but my details are still there. In fact when I google my name it actually comes up as the 1st search found. This didn't happen before. What legal rights do I have and where do I go from here?0 -
It is so annoying. I did the remove link and asked for email confirmation - nothing doing - they're still there.0

Hi all,
Details can be removed from the site by filling out the CO1 form on the help section of the site.
To remove a record we need to have your surname and postcode.
Looking further up this thread: if you're still finding your listing on Google, we may well have removed it but it can still appear on Google if they haven't yet updated their cached links.
Finally, 192.com does not create any new data on people, but aggregates data already in the public domain. We take privacy seriously, and endeavour to remove details on request as soon as possible. Please do be in touch if you have any other questions or concerns.

I have tonight discovered that this has happened to our household too, I am very annoyed at this site as I think they have taken liberties in printing census information - listing other household members - ages if over 65 - and even printing a little map highlighting the street address of the person listed.
In my opinion 192.com are contravening the privacy of people, most of who are unaware of what is happening. Quite a lot of people over the age of 65 dont use the internet and would therefore be unaware of what is being printed online - and this sector of the community is the most vulnerable.
"Its all very well Alex saying fill in the form and send it off - the majority of the community are unaware of what is going on - In my opinion this is a step too far.

Hello Alex
if you're still finding your listing on Google, we may well have removed it but it can still appear on Google if they haven't yet updated their cached links.
My details still appear on 192.com. They have not been been removed despite my request. Why?
This also does not explain why my name now appears as the 1st search result when previously, before I requested 192.com remove my details, it did not. It appears to me that 192.com has purposefully done this.0 -
Very well put nan64.
I hope somebody can look into this and change policy.0 -
Hi
I have emailed 192.com several times now to request that my details are removed I have managed to find all my personal details on their site. They have to date ignored my requests asking them to remove my details from their site. How long did it take people on here to get them to remove their details off the site?
Please can you let me know0 -
