Coventry store has a lot of new clearance stock of networking equipment.... I did not need any but someone might do.... They have the wireless routers with voip as well for £19.91..... wifi usb adaptors from £9.91 etc.....
they also have external hard drives at good prices and external dvd writers at £29.91......
They also have a 500GB external hard drive for £119.99 - might not be on clearance but on special offer nationwide due to price not ending in 91p?0 -
I had one of these 3com wireless officeconnect routers - runs very hot and failed after about 15 months - seemed to phone round the world to get CS (wasn't sure if I was paying for the 30 min phone call); eventually gave up and bought Linksys WAG354G from PC World last Christmas on 50% off. Runs cooler, seems to have better wireless signal (my daughter got one too from Maplins 3 months ago - and it does 3 floors in a victorian house), and seems faster (am I imagining it?).
So two Linksys in the family and both working great.0 -
Doesn't the 3com have a three year guarantee?0
-
Yes ... but as I say, spoke to CS in some far off place ... wasted a long time on the phone (to someone who couldn't understand my Essex accent), was also worried I might be paying the international phone cost ... wasn't that keen on another very hot unit ... and eventually got a great deal on a new Linksys (cost me £20 after I sold the 'free' laptop card on Ebay).0

I have a couple of the units.... no problem thus far and easy to set up. Haven't utilised support/customer service thus far, so no comment.0
