Just in case anyone is wondering how\when the bonus 15K miles will be posted.
I've got conflicting answers from the Indian call centre (now there's a surprise;)) as to when the miles will get posted.
I emailed their CS from within the Citibank web-site and got the following response.Thank you for your recent e-mail.
You will earn additional 15000 miles, if you spend £1000 by 31 December 2006.The additional 15,000 bonus miles will be added to the AAdvantage account at the end of the month, provided the £1,000 spend target is met.Hence, we request you to please wait for some more time.
Please contact CitiPhone on 0870 908 6000 for further assistance.
Yours sincerely,

Some members of flyertalk have reported already having the bonus whereas others haven't.
I'm not surprised though as Citibank are not known for their competence:D
Several flyertalk members never even got the card, most of us were awarded 10K initially instead of 5K (not complaining:rolleyes:)
I sent two emails to CS, one for both myself and the wife, I only got one back.0 -
Assuming I get the 20k miles, any idea how to get access to the discounted fares to claim the flight to America? Any links etc?0

OK - I have just spoken to Citibank to ask about the 20,000 miles. Initially I was told that although I have spent £1000 on the card, there were no details of more than 10,000 miles (which I was credited on opening the account) on my account. However, upon placing me on hold and checking, I was told that I do qualify for the 15,000 (errrm, should be 10,000, or not?!) bonus miles, and that these would be credited within 14 days of my January statement (billing date is 29 of the month). So, I'll have to wait and see, I guess...0

I wouldn't hold your breathe!

Bunch of t***ers.0 -
I am just emailing a complaint - I was informed when I spoke to them on a previous occasion that the AAdvantage miles would be credited immediately upon spending the £1000 spend mark - i.e. now!0

Just talked to Citibank and they said my miles would be credited by the end of next week. I asked about the return flight offer and mentioned that the aa.com website says 40,000 miles for the flight - he said that when they inform AA about the flight then they would also provide a promotional code for the 50% discount - wait and see next week to see if they are lying!0

I spoke to Citibank yesterday and they tried to fob me off with :
1) Bonus miles will appear on your JANUARY statement (22nd)
2) Christmas period delayed the bonus miles being posted (Xmas sneaked up on them then?)
3) Bonus will be posted in 14 days....
4) Bonus was generated on the 29th December and AA have 14 days to post them.
Spoke to a CS named Samira then her supervisor Natasha who where both maiking up lies as the conversation progressed.
Basically they haven't a clue, so I suggest EVERYONE ring Citibank -0800 7837788 and complain.
They may then get their a*** in gear!0 -

It's either within the same day or never!
I've sent 3 and received no response and my wife has sent 3 and received replies to all within 4 hrs!
