if you are spending away to the run up to christmas, why not get yourself a free flight to getaway after its all over you deserve it.
all you need to do is just apply and spend on the card whoopee
Apply before 15 November 2006 and you will receive 5,000 AAdvantage bonus miles for activating your card and an additional 15,000 AAdvantage bonus miles* if you spend £1,000 on your card by 31 December 2006. This gives you 20,000 AAdvantage bonus miles – enough for a flight to Europe on oneworld® partner airlines or to North America, Mexico or the Caribbean on American Airlines.**

carl_east wrote:MBNA are still doing a similar offer with a BMI credit card. The main difference being that you only have to make one purchase to get the 20,000 free destination miles which can be used with all airlines part of the Star Alliance (half of all major airlines). The other brilliant thing is that you can apply for up to 5 cards and you get 20,000 miles with each one. I've got two already and now have 40,000 airmiles on my account. I'm thinking about getting one more which would take me almost anywhere in the world for free (except for Oceania countries).

Sorry, I was slightly unclear. I signed up for an AAdvantage VISA Gold card during the offer period and WAS a new customer. However, I've yet to find out how to redeem the 20,000 mile award. What goes around - comes around

khizman wrote:anyone getting ideas regarding this and paypal?
Khizman you are a genius - well unless everyone else on this website already knew about this loophole.
But if I'm not mistaken is this not the perfect way to pay off credit cards bills with interest free credit cards (ie not paying the balance transfer fee)?
Just wondering? There is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0 -
Please could someone explainthe paypal idea? thanks0

come on do tell.....I've lost the plot on this one too.0

If you made a paypal payment to yourself for £1000, paypal would deduct 3.5% (£35). And you would get your flight for a total of £350

so can 20000 miles take us to florida and back ? bit confused of how much it is actually worth. please explain thx0

Thanks. Does the £100 payment via Paypal count as a "purchase" rather than a cash advance?0
