  • Hiya all :)

Jwil - i had an absolutely gorgeous time thank you so much for asking :) Its back to the grind now though :p

Thought i'd best pop on after my commiting to regular posts - although i only didn't post due to being away ;)

    Good Things About Today :D

Made a complaint and got myself a little compensation (worth £8 and a 2minute complaint) so very happy with that :)

Got myself a little *almost* freebie - had been umming and ahhing about going ahead with the offer - all done now though :T

Took packed lunch to work :)

    Bad Things About Today :(

Taking advantage of the *almost* freebie meant it wasn't an NSD :o

Ate a large dinner about 30mins ago  I'm always really hungry when i get in from work :o

Might have just cost myself £70 :eek::eek: - been wanting an item forever and may have managed to snag one for free but this is the price i'd need to pay delivery person - to collect and deliver (is a very good price and without having to actually pay for the item is fab - but still...)

And... i need to check my bank accounts :o still :o - somebody nudge me if i don't update on this tomorrow please

    Night all x

    Good Morning DDfw

Delighted to hear you had a good break. We all need one now and again. You mention the item for £70, I know it seems like a lot of money but if its an item that you really need and want then I say bite the bullet and go for it. If you can afford it :):)

Nice to have you back. Look forward to reading your posts.

    Take care

Well done on the compensation and not so freebie, and yay to the other item too. Is there no way round the delivery cost though?

  • I'm pleased you had a good holiday.

Nice to see you back here (even if you wish you were still away ;)). I missed your daily posts. You are always so busy that you shame me into getting more done :D.

Hi ebayqueen - thank you for your advice :D - erm - i have agreed to take the item now  * i haven't checked finances yet :p* I have wanted this item since i was a child if i think about it - though then it was more of a wistful daydream. Its not an item that i need in all honesty - its a pure want - and it will make me very happy :D Also i would never be able to get one without paying delivery but at least this way i can avoid the cost of the item too :T:T:T

I saw on another thread that you'd lost something important but have now found it again - very relieved for you - i know how frustrating it is to not be able to find something you need. Hope your job is going well too x

    Hiya hypno

I will so try and stop by your thread over the weekend - i have just not had a spare moment lately but i always find your posts so inspiring and they motivate me so much too :D - Sniffles being held at bay for now thanks :D

    Hi Chocforever

Holiday was absolutely gorgeous thanks - and totally inspiring in terms of how life can be and what needs to addressed to get there if that makes sense?

And *shucks* i'm sure i just talk so much that it just sounds like i do more than i actually do :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Today has been a full and a bit of a mixed bag of a day.

Worked 2 x p/t shifts and hopefully snagged 1 shift for over xmas. - Not really when i wanted to be working but the money (£40) will come in handy ;)

Booked car in for MOT *yikes* - please positive vibes for this people i just cannot afford any repair bills :undecided - and an expense i knew about but had not thought about budgeting for either

Went for a run which is good free exercise :j - although i'm scoffing sweets right now :o It was either sweets or beer though after the hellish day i had at work :(

I've got a long list of things to do this weekend :eek::eek: and i've still not checked banking though i'll definitely have the time to do that tomorrow :o

    Hi jwil

This is a large heavy item so i cannot get around the delivery cost at all but its good that i don't have to pay for the item too - or am i just using false logic there? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Been trying to keep up with surveys  though they have been few and far between and i keep getting screened out :o

Going to have a declutter and a little think about things this weekend. Draw up my plans (for repayments only) and get myself into gear with this too ;)

Mine's booked in for first week in December - immediately after payday :eek: I really hope it doesn't need anything doing as I've already spent the best part of £200 on it getting it ready! I also need to get the starter motor fixed and can't do it if it needs too much doing. Positive vibes from me, send some back please :A

If it's that much of a bargain anyway, then it's fine really!

  • When will you get your item DDFW?

I am so glad I found that item...thought my head was going :):)

Work is going so well. I am really really enjoying it. Its great to be out with other people and I find my self-esteem rising by the day. :):):)

I like being in some sort of schedule routine. I now know what days I am at home and what days I am out of the house so I can be more organised. I am learning new skills very easily and realising what skills I possess that I didn't even think I had!!!!! I hope that sounds sensible.

You seem very disciplined DDFW. You get so much done. Hope your mot goes well for you.

    take care

  • Hi all :)

Well after saying i would post regularly - which is good for me as it helps to keep me focused ;) - the computer decided to play up Grr!

In the end i did not get the item i really, really wanted *sob* - there was no space for it just at the moment, though there would have been in a few months time but its done now anyways :( On the bright side i saved the cost of delivery which is good as i seem to be playing *find where the moneys gone* at the moment

So i have cancelled my plans for today - mostly due to money but also i have been feeling under the weather for a few days now - combination of cold & stomach upset. So now i need a *plan of action* for this evening so the day does not seem to be wasted  In non MSE news i have the heating on and cannot see me turning this off for the rest of the night as i have only just got to feeling warm :o

Oh and yes jwil positive vibes to you for your MOT - i've had mine done and there has been another problem with the car - which doesn't affect the MOT but does need repairing as if its left it would cause alot of damage to the engine :( - i have to take the car back in to see if they can repair it - if not then the new parts are very expensive :( so i guess i'll be asking for more positive vibes please ;)

    PLAN OF ACTION :D

    Empty shred machine
Shred big bag of papers that have been waiting to be done :o
sort out shoes in bottom of small wardrobe - which will hopefully make room to move other shoes into :)
Move toiletries into proper place :)
    Tidy out work bag
Tidy out big bag of things to be moved
    Move pots
    wash pots
Make something to eat if i can face it
List small pile of books for sale and once this is done put them in a bag ready to be stored away ;)
Go through all post and put onto list of file, immediate action or later action
Sort out spending diary *part of finding the pennies as above* and draw up chart of repayments :T

I'm sure there's lots more to be done but this will have to do for now and then i can see where i'm up to :) i'd like to get most of these done tonight as tomorrow i really want to do some baking as well as some running - haha - pretty sure the one will cancel out the good work of the other but both are things which clear my mind and are things which are purely for me - although i will of course be sharing the cake ;) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'll be back later to see what else needs doing and to update too. Hope it is a good weekend for all :) x
