Absolutely needed to let that out

Remember all the time i spent responding to a question from a potential eb*y buyer a few weeks ago ? Even though it was in the description they wanted it explained in a certain way. Responded to them and didn't even get a thanks :(

Then the large item i sold and the buyer wanted to cancel but it was all sorted out - now they've just gone ahead and cancelled their bid after i got up an hour early to sort it out before going to p/t and f/t work. All this time spent trying to get a few extra pounds together makes me feel like i could just cry sometimes :(

and breathe.. rant over - just needed to let it out - and if you read it i do feel its to people who will understand :o

You are doing real well with that room and being able to sell some of it is a bonus :)

You sound very focused and that is good. Your 3 main goals are quite clear and you have paid of £6420.64 this year. That is amazing.
    Keep going DDFW :):):)

Have been feeling horrible and now have an inner ear infection but antibiotics starting to kick in and hope to be back on form by end of week. Have got some voluntary work sorted:):):) Pleased about that.

Pressure with family easing a little bit but it has taken its toll.

Sorry for raving on .... love reading your posts DDFW. They are always so pleasant and uplifting.
    God bless

Ebayqueen - i hope you are feeling better now. And that is fab news about the voluntary work :j:j:j - well done you :T:T:T

Bedroom is the next room i'm doing anyways ;)

Hey DDFW, glad you had a good weekend and got some time to spend with your OH.

That seems really expensive for the boiler - we paid less than that for a new boiler and full central heating - is the quote for the lot? Or is it just because you are tied to a particular supplier?

Well done on the ebay sales! I'm afraid I've not been behaving when it comes to overspending, so maybe I need some stern words soon!

When are your hols? Where are you off to, anywhere nice?

Hi jwil - the quote is for the boiler and most of the radiators to be replaced - hope i've not agreed to pay too much :o:eek::eek: to be honest though this is *hopefully* someone i can trust to do a good job as they were recommended and the price is cheaper than other quotes i got too.

Time with OH was lovely and looking forward to a fab holiday together - i'll PM you the place - there i go all worried about being identifiable to people i know :o:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Missed out on an MS which i had printed everything off for and learnt the specifics of because work changed my break time :(

Other than p/t work, f/t work, there isn't much else to update on - time for bed for me now methinks

night all :) and have a good wednesday xx

    Hi all

What i need to do now is address my low self-esteem - some of this has been done recently in that i have started having my hair cut again (one of the things that stopped when i had no money :o) i have also started to exercise on a regular basis - good for all round health and fitness, good for my figure and i certainly feel better both in myself and about myself after each workout :T Other than this there are some smaller and larger things i need to do to build up my esteem and confidence. Some of these will be cheap and others will cost money :undecided So the cheaper things i can put in place is each weekend - Sunday at the latest! - lift out my clothes for work for the week and actually think about what i'm wearing and how i feel in those clothes and the impression this gives others too. I've actually just recently thought of a good measure for this  Does anyone else have really quite separate areas of their lives where there is no real overlap of people ? For example - i don't see anyone from my p/t work at f/t work or socially (is quite lone working so i only really see the client if they are around), i also don't see anyone from f/t work other than there and don't see anyone from my social circle at work. So my measure is - how would i feel bumping into someone from my social circle? (where i make more of an effort with make-up and clothes :o) when i nip out from work - where i am smart / presentable but by no means proud of the way i present myself. This will be my measure going forwards - to be happy with the way i look each day so that i could bump into anyone and not be embarassed - after all you never know who you are going to meet do you? :)

So thats the clothes sorted then - and these will be from my wardrobe as i have enough things to put nice outfits together and have just got to put the time in to selecting things to wear at the start of the week ;)

Obviously, added onto this is that the clothes are going on me - so the exercise will keep helping :T:T:T But, i also need to do more with my hair, make-up and vision - yep vision either contacts or specs - they cost money but do change the way i look each day and i will need to change these soon :undecided I have already made steps towards this - been for a makeover but feel i should definitely follow the advice of the lovely hypno and get a makeover from someone who i see at a make-up counter which has make-up which i like and ask them to show me how to do this. The last makeover i had was and i felt good because it was different but it wasn't what i was trying to achieve and even though i had been asked for advice about how to apply the make-up - i was looking for something more specific than 'so you just put the foundation on making sure you cover to the edges' - i even pointed out that at times the foundation doesn't apply in a nice smooth manner and got no recommendations.

So make-up wise - keep using the products i've got but try and wangle a free make-over from someone who has the look i want to achieve ;)

An even better option to this is going on a make-up course :j:j:j so i can learn all the techniques - that way i'll have not just 1 look but many looks i can use.

  • I also need to think about my hair, i want a nice hairstyle - i often end up with my hair in a style that doesn't suit me as i just never have the time and don't know where to begin with it all :o No-one ever showed me how to do different styles with my hair and as it is a bit unmanageable i tend not to be fussed any more unless i'm going out - all of this is a far cry from previous times i might add :p

Go on a course for styling hair - so i can do professional looking up-do's, sleek do's and messed up do's - no scissors needed ;)

Teeth :o:o:o i haven't been to the dentist in forever - lack of money :o but i am embarassed about my teeth which are not very straight :o and not a great colour either - long term plan is to get these fixed.

    Wow mega, mega post :eek::eek::eek:

Don't worry people - when i go out i do make a much bigger effort with what i wear and how i look i now need to put this effort into the other areas of my life

    Hey there people

Have to say i am thoroughly kettled :o - notice how late my last post was - feel tons better for getting it down 'on paper' as it were ;) Then tossing and turning in bed stupidly fretting about work :( then up earlier than usual to get on with 2 x p/t shifts *yawn*

But i *need* to go for my run today - haven't been for like a week which is far too long and all i really want to do is curl up in a ball and nap :o

Will update you all on my choice of attire over the coming weeks - thrilling i know :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: its just that if i pop it down on here i know i'll be more likely to make the effort if i know i have to 'fess up  - I can just picture the words in my head - tired today so put on my usual too big pants which drag along the floor (they're both too big and too long oh yes, and they have a missing button :o), boots with sole hanging off and broken buckle, and my shirt which is a little small so i wore a vest with it - colour of each item - black. Seriously though - this has been my staple work look for months :eek::eek: its true :o :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - Crikey i really do need to make a bit more of an effort don't i? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ok, this run, sadly, isn't going to happen without me - hope its a good friday for all :)

I don't tend to make much of an effort with clothes and stuff either DDFW, partly because of my size, but also because I can't afford to buy new stuff. It does make a difference to how you feel though, so I think it's a good thing that you are doing it.

Perhaps as an alternative you could host a body shop or virgin vie party? They will give you a makeover and you get freebies too! It helps if you have rich friends or those who like to spend on smellies though.

The boiler quote sounds better with radiators - I thought it was just a boiler which made me eek! But it's not that different to ours with radiators so wouldn't worry about it too much - better to have a reliable contractor!

Hi jwil - part of the reason i stopped making an effort with clothes make-up etc. was due to my size - which hasn't really altered. But i am exercising regularly now and some clothes which were tight now fit more comfortably :T I did get some new pants a couple of months ago - reduced from £30 to £4 :j:j:j - and nabbed the 2 pairs in my size :D so i need to make sure i start to wear these now - plus a couple of dresses should be good with thick tights and the shoes i've just had re-heeled ;) I am sure you look fab though jwil and not half as tatty as i can be :o - the post the other day about wearing items both too big and too small is very true :o

The parties for make-up sound good but the house currently looks like a building site and the bathroom is so grim i'd be too embarassed to have people round

Been for a long walk today and also a run :T And am about to order an exercise dvd :j:j:j - using vouchers of course ;)

  • Wow! I am up very late today *yawn* - and it would have been even later if it hadn't been for the clocks going back ;)

Got tomorrows clothes sorted out for work :T Just got to choose tops for the other days as pants are ready too :T

Although today i need to prioritise

I have a pot mountain to conquer - will do after posting this little update :)

I have tea to prepare - hence the need to wash the pots - randomly decided i'd do a full roast dinner today - it is after all one of my most favourite meals :D

So will get that started and then go for my run  - was thinking i've not really time for this but its too important to me now - i'll be out about an hour and will obviously need a shower afterwards :p

Once i'm back from my run, prepare a bit more of the roast before jumping in the shower.

Out of the shower continue with all the trimmings to go with dinner - why do they call them trimmings? Still i love that 'trimmings' - very cheerful i think :D

Sort out some clothes that i've still not got round to :o

Am out early this evening - its been arranged for months so after enjoying dinner it'll be time to make myself all glamourous for the evening :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Monday i will have no excuses but to get up early and get on with - checking banking, actually going out early to go to the bank, finishing some tidying and a few e-mails and a bit of planning :)

    Morning DDfw

Eventually got a chance to catch up on your diary:)

It has done you good to get all your emotions out and written down too. You will be able to go back and look from time to time and see your progression. The fact that you want to update how you look is a sign of a raising of self-esteem. So that is definitely a plus for you. :):)

You are a lovely person and you work ever so hard. Its probably not easy for you to see this but for the rest of your 'friends' :) its quite obvious.

So keep going and don't worry if you fall down now and again. Its the getting up and moving on that is the most important move.

    Keep posting
    God bless
