Thanks again jwil
Well thank goodness its Thursday - work does make me somewhat wish my life away and i can't wait until the end of this shift and then very nearly the end of the week!
I can't see any more money coming in to clear the debts this weekalthough i have an item which i *may* return for a refund - but if i do i may then need the money for the airport to buy food for on the flight - i'm already taking a packed lunch to the airport but a meal deal will give us a bit more variety and something fresh and chilled rather than something thats possibly suffered in all this heat and in all honesty the travel time is too long to go without food
Sadly my budget won't stretch to the magic little mp3 i'd like for when i go running but we'll be away again in a few weeks and hopefully i can stretch my budget at that time so i shouldn't be too disappointed just now. And of course i have been a spendy thing in the sales and if i hadn't been i would have had more money or less debt - but i at least have clothes that fit me nowOh and a lurvely new bag to boot!
Best dash for the train now  I have a few errands to run before the dreaded work so i need to get into town early to get those sorted

Sometimes, just balancing the books is hard enough, so don't panic about not being able to pay something off this week
you're doing great, remember that!

Morning all!
I,m backhad a thoroughly wonderful holibobs although it was more expensive than expected and i am completely shattered after the late nights, early starts, 30 degree heat and all the travelling!
Sadly i have no available days to take time off work and am due to start in a few mins *eep* work is definitely not something that i,ve missed at all
I hope to catch up with everyones diaries later today or tomorrow. I,m hoping to spend my lunchtime planning things for august - probably everything i didn,t do in july *oops* I,ll also need to look at my finances. Its my birthday next month and £1595 is *alot* of money to find in that time!
I had hoped to start my new routine tomorrow - undecided at the mo. as i am totally kettled and part of my being healthy is trying to manage this level of tiredness - the main question being do i exercise through it or recover first?

Woo, welcome back! Glad you had a lovely holiday
You could always start your new routine slowly, have a rest tomorrow and start Wednesday, and maybe just try and do a couple of days this week."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hey jwil - thank you for the advice
I am very tired and not sure why i am up - although i could have had too long in bed and felt worse for it if that makes sense?
Went to bed fairly late due to an upset stomach, woke up several times in the night panicing about various things (work) So that is not good - especially as i say with my tiredness at the moment i really need a few solid hours of sleep.
I *think* what i'm going to do is take it fairly easy today and tomorrow - minimal exercise with just the walking to the station and station to work to do - and the return bit of courseI'm also taking my writing stuff with me
and then Thursday i will go for a run :T Its a very long week this week as it is my weekend working so the next time i'll get a couple of days off is next weekend - i guess i've just got to get my head down and keep plodding!

I need to get my mse head firmly back on now and have a decision to make about money and what i'll use to pay off debt  Namely the mortgage money - my monthly payment finally reduced just recently - it is still a hefty payment each month but i have been paying the difference to the mortgage - i am thinking i could use this money to debt instead as once the debt has gone any extra i have will go to the mortgage then anyway. I don't know what to do... part of me wants the debt paid off so badly especially by next month then i think if i use this money there is more chance of that happening. On the other hand if i use this money and its not paid off by then i still won't have achieved my goal. The sensible thing is to keep plodding on with the debt i think - my mortgage is the lower interest rate but as its the highest balance the overpayments make a big difference to me... Any suggestions welcome
Just listed a couple of books for sale = a small amount of tidying and hopefully a chance of a bit of money coming in.
I need to list the stuff i've sorted onto the bay of e and i have another bag of things i need to make a decision on too ... by end of play friday i will have done this.
I need to cut back drastically on an already tight food budget as i need to recoup funds from somewhere - there is also plenty of stuff in - i just need to spend time organising it. And the time to do this is what i am struggling with. I also need to definitely not buy a single thing for the freezer which i am sure is groaning with all the stuff in thereand i have managed to lose track of everything in there too - if i don't buy stuff for it and use things out of it for meals (rather than cupboard / fridge stuff) i might be able to work out a bit better whats in there and move through a meal plan that way  maybe 1 drawer at a time is the way to go ?
Could make for some interesting meals
Banking checked - all a bit scary at the mo. It wouldn't have been so bad but i spent £50 that i thought OH was going to payand of course as he paid for most of the holiday it wouldn't be right for me to ask him for it now
I also spent £11 on some new clothes for holiday after someone made some unhelpful comments to me
The full price would have been £98 but the sale price was a massive reduction so really bargainous but then that shouldn't be the point should it ? I am after all still spending money...
Did have more of a wake-up call on this on hols when i bought a couple of bits reduced to about £3 each (again huge reduction and the things are gorgeous) but in the changing room i realised i can't keep spenidng money on pretty things to make me feel better about how i look - rather than dressing to hide my weight i just need to get out there and lose the weight - its got to that stage! Especially as i struggle to paint my toe-nails (tum in the way) and walking about on hols i was struggling and a little embarassed about the shape i am in.
The exercise should obviously help with that and also i am trying to cut down on bread at the mo. - will see how hungry this leaves me considering the lunch i have packed today

Hey DDFW,
You are so close now to being DF, I would use the mortgage money towards clearing the debt. Even if you don't quite make it for your birthday, you'll soon be there, and then you'll have more anyway to throw at the mortgage.
Good luck with the weightloss"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I'm with Jwil, I would use the money to pay off your (unsecured) debt rather than mortgage. I wonder if reaching your DFD will take away some of the associated stress so that you are able to rest properly. Which you need to take on your to-do lists!

Thanks jwilI need to push myself and get some stuff listed on the bay of e for the weekend - hope for some good sales but you just can't tell what will sell can you?
I weighed myself last night - not the best time to do it i know but the scales told me what i feared - my weight has shot up again  Nothing for it but to get my running shoes on tomorrow! xxCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

Thanks Chocforeveri think i will do this - will see when payday comes round but more than likely i will pay off the debt and overpay on the mortgage as soon as the debt is gone. - Yes, rest - i made myself stay in bed until a bit later today after a repeat of the previous nights sleep pattern!! Oh well!
