I should clear some of my wardrobe too and sell on eBay. It's just so time consuming! A aargh.GC June £78.50 / £250, May £262 / £250.
Debt (excluding mortgage) April 2012 - £29388, May 2012 - £25588.

Hi jwil and teatime :hello:
jwil - thats great that you made the decision to get rid of stuff as you knew you'd still want new stuff anyways - something else for me to ponderYou may have guessed it about my many posts on clothes, shoes, bags and accessories ooh and not forgetting make-up i am a bit of a girly girl as my friend would say. The thing is though i don't 'follow fashion' as such so when the latest trends come out i'm aware of it and aware of what people are wearing but i don't 'have to have it!' Good job really as i couldn't afford to :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: But i will only buy things that i really love - that i think 'yes now or in 10 years time i will love this and wear it' Which probably explains why i've so much in my small wardrobe
I do like to think i have my own style - and i probably do as i can sometimes wear something - or look at something when shopping with OH and that attracts the comment 'thats a [my name] dress etc.' and also 'no-one else will have that' - i don't buy things because no-one else will have them, i buy them as i want to
teatime - i agree it *is* so time consuming i kinda need a day when the house is spotless (shhh never happens) so that i'm not distracted by the million and one other things that need doing that are in view and therefore a priority rather than hidden in a wardrobei also need it to be just me in the house - as i'd feel bad on OH if i devoted all my time to sorting stuff and ignoring him - well not ignoring but you know what i mean. Also i'd want the day to be really nice and bright but not warm - so i'm not tempted outside like i was this weekend
And then i'd need the energy to do such a job (thyroid = exhaustion for me) - not asking much am i ? :rotfl::rotfl:

So i'm going to start on the cardigan section of my wardrobe - hopefully today. The beauty of this section is that i often wear a cardigan so i have a couple that i know i'll definitely be keeping - they go with lots of things, they fit, i obviously think they suit me as i wear them so much and they are well cared for so even though they've been worn lots they are still in great condition
I also have a couple that i'm thinking i can sell- lets hope i have enough energy tonight after work to do something with these

Banking has been checked and i can pay the mortgage again this month. I wonder if that feeling ever goes away ? Basically when i was made redundnant and working just a few hours a week i did everything - mystery shopping, selling on e-bay, living off credit cards just to be able to have enough in the bank to cover the mortgage at the end of the month. And i still worry about it now - some months - i think january and february for me this year i came close to not having enough to pay it :eek::eek: i guess if i didn't live at the limit of my overdraft each month it would be less of a stress for me.
Right i need to find out when i stop paying my ousba not sure if the last payment is september or october ? Chaos house (whilst jobs being done) means i can't access the paperwork!
Also need to find out when the 2 lots of house insurance finish - i pay them by direct debitbut am pretty sure that the payments are spread over 10 months rather than 12 - i think anyways!

Hey DDFW, your posts aren't showing up all the time in my subscribed threads, so sorry if I don't always post as often as I mean to
You've made a great start on your plans for the month, and I think you are probably very glam whereas I'm a bit of a tramp :rotfl:
I think the mortgage thing only goes away once you've paid it off or are rich :rotfl:
I think my OUSBA account gets paid until October. If you log into student home and then search for OUSBA you can actually see your account online, and it should tell you there.
I'm always more productive when my DH is out as well. I seem to get loads more done."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Oh thats ok jwil
I'm not glam to be honest - in fact i absolutely didn't bother about how i turned up to work as long as it was office wear or what i wear to the shops etc.Now though i'm trying to make more of an effort to just try and make the day feel a bit better
Thanks for the ousba info hon x
