Hi brizzled
I so meant to pop back on here yesterday but posted the ebay parcel :A and then braved the supermarket. By the time I had got home and moved bags of gloriously reduced foodI was feeling shattered. I then remembered I hadn't eaten anything all day  Following having something to eat my eyes were struggling to stay open. Though I managed to revive myself with a shower I then browsed threads and did some work for my course
But why oh why is it too much to ask to have a decent undisturbed nights sleep? Was rudely awakened some time later by someone apparantly shouting at the top of their voice whilst walking down the street. Meh!

:DThings
As I posted yesterday I feel I have too many 'things' and getting rid of a good portion of these 'things' should make my home easier to manage as it has less clutter in it  Having less things should also give me more time as the place should be easier to clean and, in the case of my wardrobe, I should have something to wear for all occasions and not spend ages rummaging around and trying to find something. The big thing will be though the money that i hope to raise by selling the surplus stuff :T
Now some things I WILL NOT part with. The things I have picked up when I have been lucky enough to travel somewhere or the things that have been in the family for years or special giftsMostly everything else though will have to prove its worth if its to stay here though:rotfl::rotfl:
So the place for me to start will be my wardrobe. Everything in it is mine - unlike some storage which is shared. I have already started on the wardrobe before this LBM and have listed 4 things on e-bay and given 1 item to family. I also have my challenge with jwil - to list 5 things on e-bay. have lifted one item out ready and the rest will probably have to be done Sunday as I am working constantly today and tomorrowSo I will update with my progress. Feel so much more positive now though

Hi Everyone,
Well here is sunday again though i have been working the last 2 days so not had much time to make any extra pennies.
I had a good lie-in this morning too - think I needed it after the terrible nights sleep I have had this last week. Would have liked to have been up early to press on with things but thought it best to listen to what my body needs on this occasionThough i was still fairly tired as I made my way down stairs.
So have done my free bingo - small steps and all that
Now to list some things on e-bay - have a few watchers on what I have already listed - just really hope they sell.
Hope it is a good Sunday for allCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
So, 2 items listed on e-bay a few more to go and then to select some new items to list. May set myself a mini-challenge of a 100 new items listed from today until next Sunday. :j Best get a wriggle on then :rotfl::rotfl:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000

Woohoo, 7 things listed on e-bay - a bit of a sojourn through the diaries and now to go and find at least 7 more things to list :j
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ME! :j
I'll report back later, though I will say - listing 1 of my lovely dresses i did feel a bit of a wrench but its all good now its on there just hope the bids start to roll in :rotfl::rotfl:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
So now I am up to 14/100 - gosh its slow going isn't it :rotfl::rotfl:It would probably be quicker if I had a big pile of things to just photo and list away but hey ho. Need to do better than this though as if I list 14 things a day over 7 days thats a tantalizing 98 items - just short of my target :rotfl::rotfl:But in truth, working f/t, p/t all week and squeezing in any MS's I can as well as doing the usual things that need doing such as washing, tidying etc. *I know its all rock and roll here
* then there is no way i will have the time to list 14 things a day.

So tea is underway and whilst doing the prep for this I rushed upstairs and got 3 more items and have now listed these on e-bay - 17/100 - 83 to go so better get rummaging for some more things to list
Just need those bids to start although i have had a bid on an item I listed earlier in the week and which finishes today :j:j

Hi everyone, gosh I feel like I have been tired most of the day but at least I have pottered and made progress:
I have picked out 19 items for e-bay and listed 17
I have done a load of washing
1 load of drying
1 lot of pots washed
1 lot of pots moved
1 nice meal cooked and eaten
Freezer jenga played but still a few things to cram in there
So 17/100 listed on e-bay. I have lifted 2 items out but not listed these as yet due to having teaand now feel a little sleepy.
I will now spend some time with OH maybe watching a movie - on tvso my plan will be to continue to list items during the week and lift out new items to list. Re-list all non-sold items too although these will not count to the 100 goal. So by next Sunday I aim to have listed a new 83 items to reach my 100 goal :T:T
I will be finishing the dreaded task tomorrow. Tuesday i will catch up on some course work and some knitting - have fallen behind on this one mainly due to trying to juggle course work, work, work home etc. etc. just life i guess. Next weekend I will do a full review of my goals for the year
Hope it has been a good weekend for all xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
DDFW, I didn't realise your 100 items were in a week!:eek: I thought it was a month, go for it though :T:T
I loved your LBM post, it resonated with me a lot. I don't want 'things' any more, I just want this debt gone and getting rid of those 'things' is the way I am going to do it. Just living debt free in that clutter free (ish) house, will be wonderful. I would love to do that in a year. I need to be more focussed too. I don't think I'm up for a challenge at the moment, but I will be behind you all the way and do my best to get stuff cleared too. And as soon as I am able, I will join with a vengeance!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hi everyone
Jwil, thank you for your support i really appreciate it
Ok, all of those who don't want to read a 'down in the dumps feeling sorry for myself post' skip this, i'll put something more positive on my next message x
I really need to post this now just to try and get it out of my system and hopefully help me to stop thinking about it and try and gain some perspective. *Deep breath* I am facing a deficit in the money I need to cover essential outgoings this month (Feb) of over £700:( I don't want to put too many specific details in case someone I know is reading
Basically, I need to pay for some essential repairs which were totally unexpected. The repairs do not form part of the maintenance jobs I had planned and will not add any value and also cannot be postponed. Since finding out the cost I have been left with that sick in the stomach sort of feeling and have felt on the verge of tears all day and still feel this way now.
To try and improve the way I felt and try and get a plan in place I wrote down (again) all the outgoings I have and the income to see if I could squeeze anything else out of this - I am already down to the bare bones so this isn't possibleWhat this obviously means is that the extra income I was hoping to raise from e-bay to go towards paying down the debt and at least to clear target 1 by next month will all have to go towards this bill.
Had to post this as at least if anyone does read it then I know people here will understand.
