Hi
Dont get disheartened, you doing well..It's not the despair, Laura. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand. ~ Brian Stimpson, Clockwise0 -
Hi usa1 and thank you for your kind words - i really do appreciate it.
So i have done a bit more than the 30minutes timer and then shredded items that needed it and then broke the shredder - but managed to fix it again so all is good there.
I then sorted through my jumpers and cardigans in the hopes of finding something for e-bay - found a cardigan but I will check if my ma would like it first - BNWT 99p from e-bay, got it to wear for a holiday last year and weather was much hotter than expected
I am trying hard to put myself in a positive frame of mind and get back to the happy bubbly person I have always been. First things first is sorting out the dredded tasks I have been putting off so will do another 30minutes, any shredding as necessary and then tackle the skirts in my wardrobe.
Part of my plan will involve regular exercise - I feel better for getting out and about so some good walks / runs should help and that is part of my new years resolutions :T Other part of my plan is eat regular meals and eat more healthily - I don't tend to start eating until the afternoon and shockingly am lucky if I eat 5 different fruit / veg in a week :o:o. This has GOT to change - even if it is more expensive I have to look after my heart and my body and think that will help with my positive mind framework too
Ok, off to set the timer againCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Gosh! was gone a little longer that time but progress is being made and a plan is being put in place that i update this information once each month rather than feeling overwhelmed by it all.
Part of the reason i was gone a little longer i guess was due to alot more shredding being created and also having to make a call which i didn't want to do - now done and there was no answer :eek: gah! will have to try again later.
So went through skirts and nothing that can be parted with there eitherI wear these in summer and have been getting rid of skirts over a period of time and now think I have got to the core items I just can't part with - though some I've had for years they have all been looked after really well so are in fab condition and i *do* wear them all. Still really do need to raise some funds from e-bay and that won't happen if nothing is being listed.
Oh, I was also gone a bit longer as I made a coffee :coffee:
Hoping to persuade OH that a good walk is needed tomorrow for both of us- maybe in the direction of boots as I have no moisturiser but lots and lots of No7 vouchers - we will see if he is willing
So back to all this stuff then - 30minutes timer at the ready, again followed by shredding if necessary at the end of it all, rubbish is chucked as I go along and then to sort out coats and jackets.

Phew! Was rolling along nicely getting things sorted then came to a really difficult bit and decided to stick at it until this was all completed so information is now in some sort of order and awaiting the third lot of details to be gone through. More of the obligatory shredding and rubbish throwing out done. Went through jackets and pashminas in wardrobe - I don't have *that* many and no storage in house other than wardrobe for these. So I have 2 coats for the evening or put it on and feel really special during the day
- both were christmas gifts and were not cheap and are lovely. I have a blazer style jacket, a denim jacket, a jacket thats part of an outfit for christenings etc. 2 winter jackets and an evening cardigan that was expensive when I bought it over 10 years ago :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: So any suggestions on what I could part with from this little lot to raise some of the much needed readies are welcome.
Made phone call again no answer again *eep!*
Then realised OH would be due home any time and I hadn't doen bingoport so started with that and OH duly arrived home.CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Can't really do the time thing with OH home so will file papers in order, triple check the details and then this part is all up to date :T Then I will check the tops in my wardrobe and see if there is anything i can part with from this section - is quite a full part of my wardrobe actually as managed to get some tops from a sample sale on holiday and they were a fraction of the shop price
:D Hopefully I have finished shredding everything but will peek into work bag and see if any of the post I take out in the morning is still lurking in there. Right - will try and keep the work up for the next 30 mins.
And Yeah! OH has agreed to big walk tomorrow :jCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Okay - didn't get to my tops but *did* get the next part of the dreaded task done and that part is now triple checked. Stopped now until tomorrow as I can't really do any more with OH being here. Also got lots of pots washed which has shrunk the wash pile down nicely :A
There was more shredding to be done but that is all up to date now
I am pleased with the progress I have made but still have that *pit of the stomach* feeling about the rest of it. But I have done as much as I can for today and all is in order to do the rest tomorrow.
Money has not been good of late - lost more p/t hoursand then in Spendy news i have spent the equivalent of a small fortune of late. Much of money went on repairing a leak  and the rest on the boots sale
- this really helped me last year and I have managed to purchase a few nice small gifts which would have been the only present for that person if it had been full price. Right off for tea

Hi Everyone
Hope it is a good Saturday for everyone. A very cold day here brr! Been out for big walk - got lots of lovely points from boots when OH bought some things - the idea is to save these points all year and use at xmas :j
Then I thought it was a good idea to spend all the £5 off vouchers which I have acquired and been given by OH - 7 in total  got lots of cream which will save me a fortune :T Also spent part of an xmas gift voucher and still have nearly £20 left on it
Also been working through the dreadded task and it is moving along which is good - albeit slowlyCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Hi All!
Well, i have done my bingo for today, got the washing machine going, had a look around the threads on here and am now about to put the timer on as I did on Friday.
So, have plodded through some more of the dreaded task but have not made any substantial sort of progress. So now I will pop the timer on for 30mins, then check through the tops in my wardrobe for anything potentially e-bayable maybe get another coffee :coffee: and then back to the next 30mins!
I have lots to accomplish today - getting all these papers correctly sorted so that they are ready to put onto computer
completing a form that I really need to do but again a task i dread
shopping around for home insurance (less important but would just be nice)
pack 2 e-bay items that have / will sell
trying to finish wardrobe purges in-between other jobs
Added to that I am awaiting a call and don't know what time it will be and that will then take 2-4 hours out of my day
Right timer at the ready and I'll be back to update a bit laterCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
And I'm back!
Did a bit more than the 30mins - partly because i forgot to put the timer on to start with and when i remembered i wanted to make sure i did the full 30mins :rotfl::rotfl: Put a bit of make up on ready for nipping out later and then went through tops - may go through them again and be a bit more critical but all are good condition and do get worn - lifted out 1 top for e-bay would have been 2 but the other 1 i have tried to part with before and OH really likes it:rotfl:
Ok so 30mins work again - aim to get to the end of the section i am working on and make a start on the next section - being realistic 30mins won't see both sections completed
Then sort out bottom of wardrobe - think there's a pair of boots due to go on e-bay in there,
put dryer on if washer finishes and then a cup of coffee and hopefully back here to update if I don't have to go out before then
Hope it is a good Sunday for everyoneCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Well it turns out that completing the 2 sections was not as optimistic as i thought - so thats those bits done :j then had to hunt through the storage for a couple of folders and finally got them
Did more shredding *eep* although the amount of rubbish leaving here is certainly making me feel much lighter
There is still more work to do but this is just the update of what I completed in my 30mins.
I then went through the tops again but basically am keeping them all - these are a collection of: work tops, going out tops, casual tops and holiday tops so a few different sections but have committed myself to wearing a better range of them rather than the wear this top as I like it, goes in wash, dry and wear again if that makes sense? Picked out the boots ready to photo and listalso moved a pair of flip flops to the bag of garden footwear. Boxed up the non-sold e-bay items and will drop these off at mums to store for a carboot.
Not that I have anywhere near enough stuff for a carboot mind - not even a small onebut still hopefully someone will have a clear out and pass things onto me
The thing is i've lots of books i can take, a few videos and a few pieces of bric-a-brac but nothing substantial that would even fill up a table top. *casts eye hopefully around living room*
hey-ho at least i have a few bits now.
Oh got my cup of coffee this time too :coffee:
So coffee and the decluttering of a couple of biscuits  and I will have a little look through the threads before I get back to it :cool:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000
