  • Hi all,

Well I have just got back from a hectic-ish day and am about to make a start on college work  First things first and methinks I need a plan. ;) The house is an absolute tip! Well, ok it is not so bad but it certainly needs to be re-acquainted with a duster and vacuum. Pretty pronto too as friends will be coming round for pre-night out drinks tomorrow

There are also the gazillion other things that I always need to crack on and do just waiting to be done. Hmm! Dons thinking cap ;)

1, Spend 1 hour on college work
2, dust and vacuum all of upstairs
3, coffee-break and a quick peek on here possibly :coffee: :D
4, further hour on college work
5, dust and vacuum living room
6, coffee break accompanied by free bingo
7, write up 1 MS report (4  to do)
8, Check out if any more things for college to do and then return here for stage 2 of plan.

Right timer at the ready! I'll try and update on Small Steps later but if not definitely over the weekend :D

  • Hi All, Well i didn't stop for the coffee break before but have just pottered and updated my sig. The college work took longer than anticipated mainly because it was from a cd and it kept playing in the wrong order  Didn't have a clue how to fix it and every time I pressed pause it seemed to jump to another random location yeesh! :o

Well thats that bit done and I did everything else on my list except the bingo. So still have 3 reports to write and next part of college work to do. Whilst I'm still alert enough I'll crack on with college work and save 1 of the bingos for later. Will have a quick cuppa first though and play the quick bingo as if I win something I'll be very happy and re-energised ;) :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Hi all,

Quick post from me so i don't lose track of all I need to do today

    TADA so far: -

    Breakfast made :D
    1 lot of washing moved
    1 lot of washing on
1 MS report written - this is the last one that needed to be done phew! :o
    2 Free bingos done
    Replied to questions on e-bay
    Completed a survey
    Checked for any new MS's
    Put a gift away ;)
Checked the items that are listed on e-bay and finish today like a million times :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
General small tidying away of stuff

    To Do!: -

    Dry washing
    Move washing
Lift out clothes for tomorrow and prepare work bag
Transfer items from evening bag to work bag
List more items on e-bay - will be hard as only lifted 1 item out so far -oops :D
Shower - feel decidedly bleurgh! today not sure why as I didn't drink at all yesterday so that I would feel tip-top today
Tackle next part of college work
    Make Tea
Package e-bay parcels if there's time

Ok time is yet again flying by so will start with a shower to perk myself up a bit - the copious amounts of coffe have not worked :o

  • Hiya Pickle and everyone :D

Well, most things have been done I'm glad to say. Have just relisted all my stuff that didn't sell on e-bay and about to put on the 1 item I lifted out. Don't think I'll get any packaging done before tea so this may well be left until tomorrow :o

Think I did well really as spent about 2 hours on college work :j even though I was feeling rotten.

So now I will transfer stuff from going out bag back to work bag, photo and list my item on e-bay. I have also done 1 lot of pots that I hadn't listed before :A

  • Hi All,

Gosh, have come over all tired today - lets hope this means I can have a nice deep sleep tonight and wake up feeling totally refreshed tomorrow

    Small Steps Today:

    P/t work
    Packed lunch
    Free bingo x 2
Checked for MS's but none to be had :(

I also got part of an xmas gift sorted out today too - i know - its a long long time away but given the hugely bargainous discount i could not refuse :D

Things are becoming very, very tight moneywise. The not using the card thing worked well.... until I needed to use the card :o Basically as I need something of a 'float' for my MS's I have been using up the cash that I need for my petrol etc., i'll get this back of course and with a fee to boot but it does mean that any income now has to stay in my account ready to cover the DD's. So I'll keep looking at this and what I can do up until the last minute

Really, really need to find some stuff to list on e-bay. A few of my things have sold quite well :T And this has helped me throw some money at the debt. Really want this target gone next month!

  • Hi All

I really should be in a less cheerful mood now - maybe it's the calm before the storm :rotfl::rotfl: but am feeling rather chirpy :D Considering I've just covered a 7mile round trip for p/t work, coupled with getting up and getting organised for this only to find its been cancelled when I arrived  *Sob* over needless use of petrol. Then I feel I would have been justified if i had let this get me down.

Instead I am here, with a coffee :coffee: and the beginnings of a plan ;) I was reading an article earlier to do with the new year and de-cluttering etc. and part of this article explained about someone who had decided to get rid of at least 1 item a day. Now even though I have e-bayed this last few weeks (and much help the extra pennies have given to me too :D ) What I need to do is be consistent and part with at least 1 item a day, everyday of course if I go away for a couple of days then I will sort out items to part with before then so i can achieve this goal. But if, like today I am getting rid of several items at once then this still only counts as achieving at least 1 thing a day and tomorrow I will need to part with at least 1 thing :T:T

So I will tackle this initially by lifting items out for e-bay or carboot, reporting in on here that this has been done and then if the item doesn't sell I won't be keeping it it'll go to charity :D

So 15th Feb next year at least 365 things less cluttering up my life :j Must pop this in sig :D

  • I think at about midnight the other day, after being out with friends, I lifted out a drawer and basically ended up just tidying this. There are only a few things in there and are all sentimental :smileyhea so these are all being kept. I have been through this same drawer now several times and feel i have reached the stage where everything in should be there so 1 less decluttering job. Although it hasn't actually given me anything to sell :rotfl:

So today I will sort through my make-up drawer, before anyone goes yuck! ;):rotfl: I have quite a few new in package pieces of make-up so I will just make sure these aren't selling well on e-bay if I am indeed deciding to keep them :D Again think this will be more of a tidy and confirming I'm keeping everything and not throwing any old nail polishes out type of job.

This will leave me with my third and final drawer which is basically bits and bobs of clothes which don't make it into the wardrobe - such as my gardening gear :D So will sort this out and see if there is anything to give away / recycle. This will then be 1 section of my storage completely sorted out :j:j:j

For now though I've got a small box to sort out, I've already lifted 3 things out of this ready for e-bay so that is why I have updated my sig that I have decluttered 1 item for today (even though it will be more ) In fact I may leave the drawers until tomorrow - otherwise I am in danger of having nothing left to clear out :rotfl::rotfl: but also OH has gone for a snooze so I can't do the drawers now and tonight I want to press on with some college work :T

    Small Steps so far: -

Lifted out items for e-bay as above :D
    Have an MS organised :D
Have not turned the heating on even though its freezing! :o:)

  • Feeling very motivated by this and having it in my sig too. I think it works well with my quest to have less 'things' and to lead a simpler life where I'm not constantly having more and more things building up. Also works well with getting rid of things and trying to use this as a means of raising money and clearing the debt ;) I meant to say that after doing part of my wardrobe it was great to open the doors on Saturday and know and see exactly what my choices were for things to wear to go out in - made the whole process very straightforward :D

Wardrobe inventory still waiting to be done

  • Hi,

Today I did the cosmetics drawer out and threw out: 1 piece of paper - no idea why i've been saving this :o:eek: so into the bin it went :rotfl::rotfl: Also threw out a little gloss that is no good any more :( and a small decorative item that I must have received with something else and I will be giving this away. Got some eye-lash curlers that were in with a set of other things and they are gone too - brand new so just being re-homed to someone else :D

    Small Steps

P/t work completed and an actual NSD :T

Must admit am coveting a hair clip and necklace - 1 reduced from £20 to £2 and the other £18 to £2. Bargainous prices and a small treat that will mean I can still treat myself to something nice and not go overboard with this. But if I spend £4 its not going towards the debt. But does improve my self-image as I will use these :D Hmm one to sleep on methinks.

Also this week I got an xmas gift sorted out at the fantabulously discounted price of 70% off - lucky I got this as went in today and there were none left ;)
