Thats fantastic DDFW. Volume is the key isn't it and the fact that some sold for great money makes it even better.

Got the machine fixed and since I pay a small monthly cover it didn't cost me anything. To be honest it is seriously the best money I have spent in a long time. Not a year goes by without something happening with my machine so it is well worth doing. He spent about 3/4 of an hour and replaced parts so that would have been alot of money if I hadn't been covered.

Took the opportunity to de clutter my utility room so that was a job well overdue and it looks gorgeous now.:):)

How is your target going. You were right not to spend the £200 on the item if it wouldn't have been the one you really wanted.

    take care ddfw :)

    Morning everyone :)

Well i've spent the best part of 40 minutes on the phone to my insurers today - 3 different phone calls, 3 different people and advised 3 different things about the same query  Sometimes it really just feels like :wall: - i am not renewing with them as they aren't the cheapest by some way. If next year or any year come to that they were the cheapest they would have to be significantly cheaper than the 2nd cheapest insurer for me to even consider it after this morning. What i don't need right now is the added worry of funds being requested that i've not authorised and as i've now been told 3 different things it falls on me to keep an eye on things - well i had no other plans and nothing better to do with the rest of my month did i? :( - Ok i know thats a *bit* of an exageration but its a worry i will now have until after the date has passed :(

I have £0 to my name currently - i do keep things tight but not usually this tight  Fortunately the bay of e money and the smaller amount of MS money will arrive in my account tomorrow and after a brief but pleasant visit will depart to Debtsville - DD due on monday so this is just in time :)

Spent a *little* bit of time re-listing stuff last night as i was stunned to have near enough 100 unsold goodies - how did that happen? I've sold over 100 things since the start of this year easily. I'll list new stuff over the weekend if its free to do so - got 3 items sorted out for going so far

Thanks ebayqueen :) The thing is everything had been re-listed a few times - i was *so* pleased with the sales though - still got approx £50 in outstanding payments though so hope these hurry up and pay soon

Good that it didn't cost you anything for the repair - and great that it gave you the chance to have a bit of a utility sort out too :T

My target is a bit meh! at the mo. Although i've sold nearly £200 worth of stuff on eb*y i've split this between: - covering DD monday, covering eb*y fees, and a bit towards the interest from the overdraft i've paid off but had £50+ of interest put on  I now need to sell the same amount again to chuck it at target 3  As soon as the savings are through though i'm paying £700 straight to target 3 as well as clearing target 4 in full. so £200 of the £700 will count towards my mini-challenge and i'll be off the mark :)

    to insurance companies

I've also got one on my blacklist, I'll never use them again. It's not even that they were particularly bad, but their 'approved' repairer messed me around so much, and did a shoddy (and dangerous) job on my car, that I won't use them again. I had no joy with my complaints to them either

Well done on the relists, I'm hoping for a FLW this weekend too :D

That is terrible jwil - and really frustrating when you have paid them money in good faith that they will provide you not only with the cover but that you expect a certain level of service.

Sorry for my venting but as you know i've had shoddy service from a few money places of late and it really does seem like its too much to ask for clear, straighforward service sometimes.

Oh, in other hilarious news - as in if i didn't laugh i'd cry :o i decided to faff around on my banks website just to look at their mortgage options - as predicted they are unable to offer me anything :( :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - not to worry though. I just did a basic check so nothing involving credit file or anything but apparently before they even look at my income / payments i need to own alot more than the spattering of bricks i've currently paid for off this mortgage  Still i;ve not lost anything by looking - i was just hoping to try and save a bit given the interest rate i'm on - it would make a mahoosive difference :o

Sorry to hear about your bank, but remember they are not the only lender out there :) I know you aren't expecting anything right now, but if in the future you do decide to go for it, DH's bank offered us the worst deal out of all of them out there!

Thanks jwil. Yes I agree if i was seriously shopping around for a new mortgage provider i'd look for the best deal :D Only looked on my banks website as i already had the website up and i saw the word Mortgages and it called out to me and before i knew it i'd pressed all sorts of buttons :o I think i initally clicked on it to see if they revealed their criteria - like 3 x income or something - which i still wouldn't qualify for anyways :rotfl::rotfl: :rotfl: I think i was just trying to see what i need to have so i know how far away i am. Currently i'm in the 'wouldn't touch with a bargepole' category :p

    bargains, bargains, bargains :D

I can't help it do love a genuinely good bargain :) I did the grocery shop yesterday and managed to nab some really good reduced price meat :T

And then today i popped into the charity shop whilst waiting for someone else. And i managed to get 2 ornaments for £3 for the pair - this was the price on the sticker :D The shop i have seen these in sells them at £60 each and they've never been in the sale when they've had a sale on either. Obviously i didn't have a penny to my name this morning so buying them involved emptying the contents of my bag to find all the bits of change dropped in there and a plea to the person i was waiting for who kindly helped me out :) I couldn't afford these at £60 each and they will look great once the decorating has been done too :D

Oh I love finding something that I really want and at a low price too. Thats fantastic DDFW. You were right not to pass them.

No word on your savings total yet.

You are doing very well on your ebay. Mine is steady and I need to get some things listed tonight in between doing mams taxi runs :)
