    Grrr to non paying bidders.

Aww that's horrible about the hairdresser, it's not nice when that happens. (((hugs))). I've never been able to say if I don't like something either. Hopefully it won't take too long to grow out.

Hi DDFW, ouch about the pain. Do get it looked at.

The buyer with the wrong address - if you sent it to the address in Paypal then it's their problem not yours. They should go back to the address and see if they can pick it up. If they have a redirection on their post, then it should still arrive, though maybe a couple of days later.

If they had updated their paypal address and you sent to the ebay one, then you could ask them if they could check with the previous address, but you'd most likely have to take the hit. The Paypal address is the one that has the protection. Maybe ask on the ebay boards for thoughts?

For the missing item, if you have proof of posting, you should get your money back from RM ok.

Well done on the listings though.

If you can't buy to sell, which I'd thought about suggesting too, perhaps you could buy things with your amazon vouchers and then re-sell the item? I know you were saving them up, but its always an option - converts them into cash. If you bought something that is just out then you should sell it easy enough.

Of course, buying to sell is a business activity and so needs to be recorded as such for tax purposes, but I know you'd do that anyway :)

Good luck with the car - someone else I know just sold one on ebay and no one came to see it. It does appear to be the norm.

Hi jwil - the item not received due to the person moving was returned back to me today due to the buyer not being at their address! I think its fair that i ask them to pay postage again as otherwise i am out of pocket - what do you think?

The problem with RM dispute is that i don't think they refund postage - they didn't last time  Which is ridiculous in my opinion!

Oh yes, if i do turn into a wheeler dealer i'm very on the ball with the need to notify and keep records etc. Not 100% decided on this as yet - due to the time to find stuff and the need to hold stock and price right and have funds to get stock - so we shall see x

Thanks for the good wishes x

Its actually so bad that i'm going to take the scissors to it myself - trust me - i can't make it any worse - and its terribly straight you know when people used to put a bowl on their kids head to cut it? Yes that is me :o And the reason (or part of) that i'm so annoyed for wasting my money on this - as the hairdresser was leaving she paused to really look just at my hair (rather than me if that makes sense) and staring at my hair nearly burst out laughing! She kind of started then pulled it back in again. That is not me being paranoid etc. Even OH said it was a shock when he first saw me but it'll be better once i've done it myself! Yeah - thats why i just paid someone else

And before anyone asks - no i did not request a basin look! :naughty::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Giving up on the phone call today before i end up in tears of frustration!

Time stamp shows first attempted call to them was at 3.48pm

Since the last post where A said contact B and B said no its definitely A.

Finally got through to A (again!) who said no its definitely B but i'll get someone to ring you back.

Being very impatient and wanting to get it sorted rang B who said no its definitely A AAAAaaaarrrrggggghhhhhh! And they have requested a non-urgent return call! So at some point someone is going to ring me, of course this will be when i'm not going to be able to take the call and the whole palaver will start again. Last person i spoke to made it sound like place A was very understaffed.

    Humph!

Seriously i give up! And its not really a case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing

Very frustrating about the phone call

RM do refund postage - I've always had it given back. That's weird that they didn't for you.

That's good that the parcel came back - they should definitely pay the cost of posting it again.

  • Hi all :)

Well i am currently popping some things on the bay of e - though set to go on tomorrow ;) I have 50/100 newly listed items on already - i started this mini-challenge for myself on sunday so between today and tomorrow i've got to get another 50 things on

I've got quite a few items to re-list to so fingers crossed on all these things please :D But as these are re-lists they can't be counted in my challenge :naughty:

I'm obviously scouting around for what can be listed  i have got a few things which i was stopped from listing as i've hit my limit in those areas so these will have to wait for another time.

  • Hi DDFw

You have had a rough couple of days. You sound better today and are doing so well with your listings. I do sell as you can see from the name but I buy from charity shops with prices that are so much lower than you would have to pay. Some shops have massive overheads and they have to charge such high prices. I feel good that I have donated to the charity and in turn made some money to help kids with extras etc. It all goes round as the old saying goes.

Hope the weekend goes well for you and sell for good prices.
    Take care

  • Good Afternoon all :)

Well i have just updated my sig and hope to update it a bit more this evening too - i just need to check my last batch of payments against my statement

I am very pleased to say that i have now sold my car :T i did however accept an offer which was lower than the start price BUT i am very happy that this was the right decision - for lots of reasons :) I had ALOT of very good advice and support from the extremely lovely jwil - thank you so much! And OH was also very helpful :smileyhea

HOWEVER - i still have a shortfall to catch up on this month.

The reason being i don't want my funds to be swallowed up in day to day living so i am splitting the money i received between 1) funds towards the next urgent (in fact extremely overdue) house maintenance job 2) repayment towards target 1 ;) 3) some to catch up on the shortfall.

This leaves my new shortfall target at just shy of £200 - with any surplus meaning i can cover some bills from this months money (rather than next months which i *could* do due to due dates but we will see). To this end i have several items listed on the bay of e - in fact 50/100 newly listed items and aim to hit my personal target later today of 100 newly listed goodies - just the small job of finding new items to list

I have bids on several things so that will help and will see how things shape up with this over the next few days :)

Also - do you remember the letter i had to go and get? Well i had written a complaint for continuous bad service i received from a shop - and as an apology they have given me a £10 gift card :j Very pleased with this thought i'd only get £5 if anything. Have to say i was both very angry and upset with the service - partly because things are getting to me but i am happy with this too.

I am on target for another voucher on swaggers today :j:j:j

    Do you do this ebayqueen?

Ok, hope to be back with you all later :)

Thanks E - i have definitely taken your advice and have listed things that i would like to keep - and i know they haven't gone yet but i also feel better for listing them. I think i posted about aiming for a 'simpler' lifestyle a while back - i just think although its nice to have 'things' that i aspire to have less things because they aren't important they are just something else that takes up time one way or another. This doesn't stop me wanting a sewing machine - but this is something i see as giving me pleasure - and hopefully others as i make things :) Though i'd need to refresh my skills first ;) But having a craft and a hobby is different to purchasing things that aren't needed. I'm rambling now and not sure if i'm making any sense. So i'll go and face the baltic conditions (due to the broken window) of upstairs and try and route out another 50 things - send a search party if i don't update later :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
