Well i've been trying to think about a few more things i can let go - expect i'll only list the 20 things i've already sorted out later on but aim to do another 15-20 tomorrow. These are all newly listed things so not as straightforward as just relisting. Plus i've nothing put to one side to list so its taking longer in terms of finding things too. So i'm aiming to lift out 15-20 new things in preparation for tomorrow. The things i'm listing now i'm doing so to raise the funds so its stuff i'm not prepared to let go for pennies - so i'm listing it a reasonable price both for myself and the buyer - if that makes sense?

Listing stuff for a decent price makes sense. Especially if it's stuff you'd happily keep.

Good luck and here's hoping for some decent sales for you!

    Hi ddFW

Thank you for your kind words, they are very much appreciated. I have had a few good sleeps and now feel a lot better and more motivated. So all is looking positive.

Keep going with the ebay it will all pay off in the end. When does your car listing end? You are right in not starting at too low a price. In the long run if they sell too low you are down big money rather than an extra few pence for higher listing price. Take care of yourself.:)

Hey ebayqueen - good sleeps really do help don't they? It is good to hear you are motivated but just be careful not to push yourself to do too much too soon.

My car listing ends at the weekend. A decent number of watchers again but less than last time - still doesn't mean anything but we will see  Trying not to worry too much over this right now. And you are so right about being careful with the start price of things - there is no point in me listing stuff at 99p when i wouldn't be happy receiving that.

    Take Care too hon x

  • Hey everyone,

Made myself come on here and post today - been mulling things over *again* :o

So my day has been a bit of a mixed bag of things:-

Someone who purchased an item off me on eb*y has been in touch to say its not been received  So this will have to be added onto the shortfall. The doubly annoying thing is that the postage was more than the item :mad: If this is not re-imbursed then i will be sending a letter of complaint. Ooof!

Coupled with that i got another eb*y buyer contact 'not another' i thought - well not quite the same - they've moved from where i've sent the item and so haven't received it *sob*. Expect this will be added onto the shortfall but to be honest really don't know what to do about it? So have decided to ignore it for today at least whilst i have a think

Missed the postie so have to go and collect a letter from the post office - bit anxious over this as i've no idea what it is - has to be signed for :undecided

Over the last few days i've got to 50/100 newly listed items on eb*y - would have been more but apparently i'd hit my limit on a few items :(

Struggling to find the remaining 50 items to list i'll be honest and as the non-received items contacts came in at this point i got a tad demotivated.

Got a statement in from target 1 - just got to double check the figures on this.

Hate to put on yet another ailment :o - i've not been exercising since i stopped the other week - i've got a terrible shooting pain in my arm, leg and botty - all on the same side - pain usually in just one part at once but completely agonising causing me to cry out with it :o - probably a trapped nerve i suppose but as its now been a week and its settled into battle of the sharp pain vs dull ache i'll possibly mention it to the doctor - i probably come across as a real hypochondriac :rotfl: But :naughty: at least every time i've been to the docs i;ve been diagnosed with a valid illness so we will see how i go with this one. Its even hard typing this so i perhaps shouldn't witter on so much :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Got some amaz*n vouchers i'd cashed in today which is good - but unfortunately won't pay my mortgage for me this month :o

And some things going on here too - but i'm ignoring them for now as well :o

Hope you are all well xx

    Morn DDFW

You never witter my dear :):) Its good to read your diary and I think you would need to get that pain seen to. No point suffering if something can be done about it. You sound under a lot of pressure and the items going 'missing' are the straw that broke the camels back as they say. Life can be so flippin tough but you know you always come through DDFW, no matter how difficult things are. You are a very resourceful person.:)

I know you are finding it difficult to source more items to list ... have you ever considered buying to sell on? I know you work a lot of hours and it might not be ideal for you but it would do no harm to look around charity shops during your lunch hour. Set a target of £5 or £10 if you can afford it and see if you can get a few items that could double their money.

I would recommend just to be ruthless in your wardrobe. If you have clothing that you won't be needing for a while sell it. Harsh I know but if you need to hit a target then it might need to be considered. I remember a wee while back you were saying you had something that was of high value but you didn't really want to sell. Maybe now its time to consider that.

I still think that you keep positive about the car. The fact is that you have some watchers and one of these could possibly buy it. I hope your letter turns out to be good news:)

Thinking about you and wishing you all the best.

    God bless

    Hi ebayqueen :)

Yes, i definitely would buy to sell on :) Trouble is the charity shops near me, work and a little further afield are really quite pricey - £20 for a ripped dress - actually torn in quite a few places  £4 for tops that are very worn and were probably cheaper to start off with given the shop they're from :( Still - when the good carboots start up i shall scour around ;) Thanks for the input though hun x

The high value item i have has actually been listed a few times but not sold. And yes, ruthless in my wardrobe is definitely how i have been - got a few things that were bought me as gifts so can't really sell these as can't replace them :o

Got 5 more items to sell but these are awaiting being ironed now they've been washed - probably be listed next week now as these are all low value 99p type things :o

Yes - i really hope the car sells just another couple of days to wait and see now. Will let you know how i get on.

Given your name i guess you do list a bit on the bay of e :) Do you buy to sell or do you just have lots of things to list?

Hi DDFW, ouch about the pain. Do get it looked at.

The buyer with the wrong address - if you sent it to the address in Paypal then it's their problem not yours. They should go back to the address and see if they can pick it up. If they have a redirection on their post, then it should still arrive, though maybe a couple of days later.

If they had updated their paypal address and you sent to the ebay one, then you could ask them if they could check with the previous address, but you'd most likely have to take the hit. The Paypal address is the one that has the protection. Maybe ask on the ebay boards for thoughts?

For the missing item, if you have proof of posting, you should get your money back from RM ok.

Well done on the listings though.

If you can't buy to sell, which I'd thought about suggesting too, perhaps you could buy things with your amazon vouchers and then re-sell the item? I know you were saving them up, but its always an option - converts them into cash. If you bought something that is just out then you should sell it easy enough.

Of course, buying to sell is a business activity and so needs to be recorded as such for tax purposes, but I know you'd do that anyway :)

Good luck with the car - someone else I know just sold one on ebay and no one came to see it. It does appear to be the norm.

    Hi everyone

i will drag myself into finding more eb*yable stuff - and thoroughly expect my wardrobes to look positively sparse afterwards too

Chased a payment from a buyer - again! Different buyer this time - its an item i already mentioned sold over a week ago Tsk! :naughty:

Spent over an hour trying to get through to someone on the phone - and still trying Grrness  The most annoying this is when i got through yesterday they gave me the wrong information :( But they did e-mail me to let me know this. So i rang today and was given a direct number - which i thought was odd as i was told there weren't any to give out and checked and the lady said 'yes, this is definitely who you need to speak to.' FINALLY got through on this number to be told 'don't know why you've been given this number it is definitely the dept you asked for originally that you need to contact  AAAARRRRRGGGHHHH! So, i will *breathe* and try again ;)

Must stop checking eb*y again :o

Oh forgot to add yesterday - under the list of BAD THINGS :( My hairdresser turned up - i totally forgot she was due and rather than pay a part amount for nothing proceeded to have my hair done and....

    .....

it looks awful :(:(:( She's basically cut it too short so its not something that can be fixed easily i just need to give it time to grow - and i'm not overly delighted with the colour either - even my mum asked where it had been coloured and that my roots were really obvious :( and its really only the roots which should have been done. For some reason she did alot less of my hair than usual - then charged the same price :( So, because i'm soft, i'll let her come next time and be very specific *again* on the roots - avoid all cutting as it definitely won't need it :o and if its not up to standard she won't be booked again :o
