Don't entirely give up hope on the car - my DH sold a couple of cars on there and no one came and looked at either. He also bought one on there without looking at it too.

Thanks hon - i guess i'm worrying because a) i worry :o b) if i was to list a pair of shoes i'd go in detail over the condition e.g approximate no. of times worn (if not many) any marks etc which is not what i've done with the car - basically just put it as a car for sale with full MOT - this was what i was advised to do because there is no way of covering every tiny little thing and anyone serious about it should have contacted me to look at it :( Its not pristeen (sp?) but then again i've not described it as such and it is an old car so i really thought someone would look at it. Don't think i can face it selling and then the person quibbling :( As you say though - i shall do my best this next few hours to wait and see - wonder if i'll hit the heady heights of 100 watchers as the tally just keeps going up *gulp*

So people - shockingly we're already into February

1 thing that went well for me last month was the food planning :T Its just made everything about shopping and the 'whats for tea' so much easier :T - i think i'm actually all planned out up until april so definitely one to keep up with :)

What didn't go well was the reducing of debt - did not get it down nearly as much as i wanted to and ended the month with the additional -£580  that i need to repay sharpish

Well i've got £32.52clearing into the bank tomorrow from eb*y sales and i have got £15 in there as i must have added something up incorrectly  - i actually ended up -£580 as i needed the extra for petrol :(

So altogether there is £47 that can be paid back - except i can't go to the bank for the cash so will have to work some magic with this on the shopping front ;) so i'll update this deduction tomorrow

Today though i have got £35 which i can pay back straight away *phew*
So -£580 - £35 = -£545! and i should be able to throw more at it tomorrow as noted :)

I've also got some other bits and bobs finishing on the bay of e later - no bids sofar. And i've got a few other things that have sold but not been paid for so i can take this off what i owe when this money comes in too :)

A few things which would have left me owing less and how i feel about them:

    1) already mentioned the creams

    2) xmas gift stash - if i hadn't purchased stuff now for the end of the year (and birthdays inbetween too) i'd not owe quite so much. The way i see it is this is 1 hard month rather than lots of hard months due to having no funds for presents and struggling all the time so i'd rather have got the gifts and struggle now rather than just about every month of the year.

    3) New clothes  I definitely spent more on new clothes this month than i should have done given what i now owe. Absolutely no justification for this whatsoever. However i do love everything i got, i've worn some of it too :) And i've reassessed my entire wardrobe because of the purchases which is where the eb*y money is coming in from - think i've sold in total over 30 things last month (have just come out of eb*y as i keep checking if i've any bids :p) - and ok some of it may be low value but i've actually generated more in sales than i've spent on new stuff - haha thats me *not* justifying it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Oh and i didn't buy 30 new things so i've generated more space too ;)

    4) car repairs  - over a third of what i owe - still if the car sells the repayment will be taken out of this - a necessary evil i guess!

Today i will group the (new) stuff for selling all in one place so its easy to do and i can see exactly whats going which may make me think about other stuff that can go too ;)

I'll also take a peek at 1 or 2 things i *should* be doing to raise extra funds / save pennies - but first i need to eat :) - back later x

Well i'm back with an update and its not great - First of all with the broken window it is far too cold to work upstairs for any length of time - plus i've been a little poorly so had to give up and curl up instead - oh well i have done *some* which is all i can hope to do for now :o One last check to see if any of my watchers have turned into bidders ;)

Take care of yourself DDFW, and well done on the payment. It's frustrating I know when it's extra to the debt.
