Right, you will all slate me but to be honest I'm getting annoyed by letters and I don't want any legal action or anything. I've just received the first Graham White letter, I have only had 1 Roxburge letter. I know you have all told me in the past they will never take me to court, but IF they do I can't afford a bad credit as I need a loan for pilot training. Also I can't really afford £200+ but I could just about afford the £141 they want.

I parked in an excel car park whilst attending a football match and overstayed the time limit. It was clear as day I was a footy fan with all the stickers and the like, signs were obvious I just didn't look for them as I rushed in. My argument would be crap in a court.
Can I just pay up the original £60 or would they demand the £141!?

Benish, are you made of money and want to provide these firms with belief they can extort money from you?!

If you do not pay the PPC (Private parking charge) then no court action will follow, I can say that for 100%.

I too, have received letters from Graham White, who claims he is a 'Solicitor' when he is not.
I have ignored the letters, which was over a year ago and nothing has happened nor have I heard anything.

Private car park companies do not have any legal power or leg to stand on in any court and it would never get that far, they will give up when they realize that they can not intimidate you for a 'invoice' that they know they could never get enforcement on.

By paying the 'invoice' you are simply saying to them you are intimidated by them and believe there threats contained within there letters, which are all hot air.

Your credit rating cannot and will not be affected, you have not entered or signed/agreed to any credit agreement, so legally they can not give you a bad credit rating nor ask any credit reference companies to do the same, as per the DPA (Data Protection Act)

I have received many PPC's over the past few years, all ignored and no action followed.

Private parking companies, including train stations not protected by the Railway Bylaw section 14, to which they must have signage correctly placed, cannot be enforced in civil or criminal law and they have no legal power.

Do not pay it, ignore the letters, after three they will get fed up and you'll hear no more.
You will not go to court or be taken to court nor have any credit rating affected.

You are not incurring 'charges' for late payment, there is no late payment on a invoice, you never signed an agreement, there 'invoice' is not enforceable - it is completely and utterly safe to ignore these people.
Don't allow them to extort monies from you.

Don't take my word on nothing happens, read on here and all over Google - NO action will follow, no legal action, no credit rating action, 0%....... NOTHING.

Jeez don't pay them a penny, honestly you are just in the middle of a scam letter chain, they will NOT take you to court, roxburge and white are actually the same company, and they have NEVER taken anyone to court, they are actually being investigated because of this scam.

If you pay up they have won and taken a sizeable chunk of money off you when there was no need to pay them!

Please do a search on google for these companies and you will see 1000s of posts and threads of succesful people ignoring them.

Not paying them will not get you a bad credit rating. Them taking you to court and the almost impossible case you
actually lose and you then dont pay, Could.

The chances of any of that is neglible.

They need to prove you parked there and not someone else driving your car.

I maybe cynical but are excel paying you enough to take flying lessons?

I am a footy fan too and if I went to an away match I would DELIBERATELY look to park in a car park run by a scam PPC. They run a protection racket, their bogus tickets and threatograms are a con, it does NOT affect your flippin' credit rating!

You didn't do enough reading when you first got the ticket.

The Roxburghe/Graham White letter-chain is clearly shown in pictures in the top thread on this very board 'PPC letters/threats, what to expect'. Read as many threads as it takes till the penny drops that EVERYONE here has heard of Roxburghe & they're a waste of space:

Debt collectors are nobodies with no powers, they cannot affect your credit rating nor can they send the boys round because they are NOT Court-appointed bailiffs.

As you have said, PPC's and there fake letters are worthless, just like the 'invoices' they place on your car.

Regards Graham White being investigated, I can confirm Trading Standards are investigating after a high number of complaints regards fake intimidating letters.


I have not and never will pay a PPC, mine all get ripped up and placed in the bin, I never read them once I see who there from.
Fact remains they are unenforceable and the only people they expect to pay them are the ones they intimidate, I for one, like Coupon-Mad will not be one of those people.

I think it's the Solicitors Regulation Authority who are investigating "Graham White" (aka Michel Sobell), and not trading standards. He could be in big trouble.

DO NOT PAY!! Your reaction to their threats is a perfect example of how this scam works.
Your credit rating cannot be affected until they have actually won a case against you in court. As Poxburghe/Graham Sh1te/Michael NoBalls never ever issue court papers that is impossible.
By paying you would be helping to finance extortion against other innocent people.
