If you wish to part with £141, why not donate it to your local air ambulance. Not a rogue trader.

Right, you will all slate me but to be honest I'm getting annoyed by letters and I don't want any legal action or anything. I've just received the first Graham White letter, I have only had 1 Roxburge letter. I know you have all told me in the past they will never take me to court, but IF they do I can't afford a bad credit as I need a loan for pilot training. Also I can't really afford £200+ but I could just about afford the £141 they want.

I parked in an excel car park whilst attending a football match and overstayed the time limit. It was clear as day I was a footy fan with all the stickers and the like, signs were obvious I just didn't look for them as I rushed in. My argument would be crap in a court.
Can I just pay up the original £60 or would they demand the £141!?

By doing nothing you will not get any legal action at all.

You have done no wrong, you have no debt to pay.

Relax and look forward to your pilot training.
  • PPC scammers can only stay in business because enough gullible people allow themselves to be taken in by their nasty little scams. Hold your nerve and fight back against this pond life who have cheated millions out of people who can ill afford to subsidise this scum. I bet all of the people who have advised you not to pay have like myself, faced down the scammers and not been taken to court.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!

If you really feel you can throw away £141, then at least wait until the court orders you to. Once you realise that this won't happen, then you will have saved your money.

If the court orders you to pay, and you pay, you will have nothing on your credit record and you can still get that loan. If the letters keep on coming with no court in sight, you will have nothing on your credit record and you can still get that loan.

    Hang in there.

Pass the money to me and I'll pay on your behalf ;) You might get a few more letters until they update their records that it was paid though :D

Surely it's easier just to ignore them than get yourself all worked up like you are doing now? And if you pay, you'll be kicking yourself.

Excel will NOT take you to court. They've been spanked before and won't want a repeat of that.

Come on now; pull yourself together!

Thing is, their fake letters look 'real' and intimidating to the least expecting/understanding people who receive them, those are the people the company aim to extort money from.

Strange isn't it, how they can make false claims and pretend to be someone (solicitor) when there not, as that is fraud!

The sad thing is that they carry on writing to people like the OP, who get frustrated and worried. If you play with them, like I have, they stop writing. Not fair.

I must have spoken to over a dozen people at work who've received these notices. These are people who really should know better, but are fooled by the official-looking notices. So far, I've managed to persuade all but one not to pay.

I had one today funny enough, opened it, ripped it up and placed it on their office door with all the invoice in bits inside the yellow sticker they use, again to 'try' and fool you they have some power, when in fact, they have none!
