Hex~ hope it heals up soon, ice lollies are ment to help the swelling go down.

OH is upset atm, alomst in tears, it seems his son has set a date for the wedding, early Dec ie 5 weeks away, BUT I am not invited, now I really don't mind, spending the afternoon at a very small wedding with his ex is NOT me, but for some reason he seems very upset by it, I didn't go to his grand children's christening etc and that didn't bother him, I really don't know what to say to him, as he snaps at me when I say anything, thank goodness it is nearly bed time.

perhaps he sees it as a slight to him, IYSWIM...as though his son is saying he wishes things were different. Or he feels guilty, that if he had handled things differently you would have been accepted into the family? That would explain the snapping at you, maybe?

    (just guessing...)

When I had to have a new windscreen, I had to pay the excess on my policy but it didn't count as a claim or affect my no claims. I have a crack in my windscreen now that will be sorted in the next few days.

Yes, we found out the repair guy had been fibbing just after I posted that!

I have been decluttering a lot of bartering skills this afternoon, I just bought a new car!

    Evening all!

Back after a week at the flat ^-^

Haven't done a lot really but my fiance and I cleaned the bathroom as best we could. It's damp coz the landlord hasn't put in any air vents or anything, ceiling is dripping with condensation. Got dripped on while having a wee last night...

This pc has been acting up again :( I really need to get a replacement sorted in the next couple of weeks, I know DH would just say 'get a new one' but there is so much emotion tied up with this one which has stopped me before now. It's times like this I miss him more than ever. He could be quite a good flyboy on occasions too.
AnW'sMum good to hear the day out was so :money: I think it adds to the enjoyment! bad news about the pc - but just think what DH would have said -might go something like this "dont be so soppy its only a pc -get rid -its now useless and anyway you used it more than me! get a new one that will make your life easier -you are not chucking me out just the pile of junk - I am still in your heart"

Kazw hugs for you both - i guess he is upset because you are not getting the recognition you deserve as his partner - he obviously wants you to be with him and must feel that its a snub- and maybe he is snapping because you arent upset IYKWIM? - hope you can work it out (((hugs)))

Pigpen~ imo only, you're doing the right thing letting them make their own minds up. My children haven't seen their.... (and I was about to say dad, but he isn't really-my dh is, and he has been to all intents and purposes been their dad for years ex doesn't deserve the title) for about 10 years (eldest is 22 now) and the eldest two (22 & 17 ) made their own minds up about it all a long time ago based on their own experiences at his house. The two younger ones wouldn't recognise him in the street. Children will make up their own minds about these things, so <<hugs>> It's really difficult I know, but you seem to be doing everything you can hon. x
Hex2~ hope the tooth feels better soon, and it's not too miserable for you.
kazwookie I hope OH calms down. I have to say I would feel the same if DH wasn't invited to something family orientated, but it's good that you are fine with it. I hope he sees that, and that it gives him strength. It would be far worse for him if you were raving and getting mad about it. I agree with some of the other flyladies. He may be being protective of you...x
Mummyof5~ "I have terrble earache so off to declutter some parrots." Not logical.... drink some wine, yes, hold hot waterbottle to ear... yes, eat chocolate..... yes. Declutter parrots...... confused (I'm a bear of little brain)
Vanilla <<hugs>> hope it went well today with school. x
Toots~ lots of love and hugs just cos xxx
Valli I find ctrl ++ helps my reading skills a *lot* :rotfl:
Off to bed now, and will fly more tomorrow.....Sweet dreams xxx
