OK well nearly murdered someone at work today (in a nice way) who has a waaay too hight opinion of her own talents. However, can't afford the legal fees, so instead...spent £54 on diesel and £5 to the poppy seller.
Hmnn, also £2 on chips for lunch, naughty!
Got some washing done and am currently trying to help DD1 with her first ever homework. Feel ill as I have a vicious head cold. People at work keep asking me if I'm part time, which I take as an especially bad sign since I'm full time, and my attendance is really very good...
Think I'm doing something wrong?!Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

tempting, it actually happened in my last place too, but at least they had a reason, as I had asked to go part time. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Started the day with a child in tears before 8.30, is that some kind of a record?? Don't worry, I didn't make him cry!

Well...conked out at 8.30 last night during "Kirstie's homemade home" I've got a horrible cold/flu type virus and so didn't manage to update. Still, yesterday was a NSD, plus saved a fiver of diesel by getting a lift with DH.
Also got a lift today so that's a tenner of diesel saved this week, unfortunately will prob blow it at the weekend as going to Northamptonshire.
NSD predicted for today, stagger through the day and finish dismantling the house ready for the floors to be done at the weekend when we are away.
The crying boy is ok now. Can't wait for Monday as is 20 week scan, just want to get to a (hopefully) good result there. Unfortunately it is also the day MIL gets her results from an actual qualified doctor instead of SIL, so hoping that it is a double good news day.
Girls' coats arrived, very pleased, they are a bit retro - anyone conscious of the 70s may remember those khaki coats with orange linings and furry hoods?? They're a bit like that but purple. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Congrats on your pregnancy!! :j
Why is it when you start to look at your finances and think about being a MFW, there suddenly seems to be 101 one-off bills to pay and 101 unexpected purchases to make and all before Christmas too!!!;)2024 Challenges- Grocery Budget (January £0/£300)
