We have a vauxhall signum and a renault laguna. DD1 in a high back booster, DD2 in forward facing britax evolva. we can fit evolva, infant carrier and an adult in rear of both with DD1 in front. We can also fit 2 boosters and forward facing evolva in rear of signum. A6 will hold all 3 seats over the rear but we are looking at 5k for a youngish oneMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

That sounds good, we can only just get our two seats in the freelander with a very uncomfortable adult, and DD1 is in a Britax evolva, they're huge!
Much more reasonable price, but I guess not 4Wd?Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
no it is. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUDI-A6-3-0-SE-QUATTRO-TIPTRONIC-AVANT-210Bhp-4x4-/330488454251?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4cf2a59c6b she is 8-9 year old but apparently total work horses as long as yearly oil changesMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -

What's his name?
Oops sorry missed this.:o
His name is Dexter.
I will have to look for a job at some point. Ideally I would like to do something different which is a good idea really as I worked in financial services:eek: I haven't a clue what it might be though.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
squirrel thanks. Hoping I have the oomph since I have been a DFW and clawed my way out of that in my 20s.
LP I'm liking that a lot, 3 evolvas on the back seat is roomy. I can't buy a 9.99 booster from argos and have done, I know lots of people do and its much more convenient. In fact I had a head to head with DD1's teacher as she told me DD1 didn't need a car seat with a back on it (at 5!).
xspender Dexter is lovely, and not at all usual, I'm struggling with finding a name that isn't everywhere but I still like. Amelia was top of the list, but then Dr Who...
Financial Services must be pretty bad at the moment, but nice to have that freedom to choose a new path.
Off to Taunton today, so hoping weather bucks up, its pouring at the moment. Still, good for the water bill. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
I like Amelia. I liked Daisy and Lydia for a girl, but then got my two boys. So hard i think with our profession as every name has some connotation wether good or bad.0

You're not kidding, Michelle otherwise lovely names have been ruined for me by certain...characters!
Love Daisy, but DH is a bit anti flower names, he won't even let me call the dog that!
Had a lovely evening last night and watched a film called "Serious Man". It was supposed to be a comedy, but wasn't very funny, I guess it may have been funnier if one was Jewish, as all the characters, and the directors are Jewish. It was a good story though. Had a glass of wine, a red someone had given us, but it was rank so didn't finish it.
Got an email from an ex colleague, lovely dear man who is going through something called "discernment" in order to find out if he really really is cut out to be a priest. Lovely, he'll be fab.
Busy busy today. SIL rang up with a MIL update, she's still in hosp and SIL really wanted to wind DH up with all the dreadful things it may be, she can't possibly know yet as the medics haven't seen the scan results.
Then we dumped a load of carpet and lino at the tip (ahem, recylcing centre). Those guys really know about customer service, they put the gastro pubs and shops to shame.
Off to Waitrose, a rare treat since we have no Waitrose in easy distance. DH kept going off message, so shopping came to £130, but we are stocked up for ages with a few things that are nice (and cheap) there, like their liquid hand soap. Also got a new bread knife, as ours is older than me and keeps giving me splinters! I went off-message too with the biggest pumpkin you have ever seen.
Then we took the girls to Pizza Express for dinner (my main course, 56p with a voucher) managed to spend £55 though. Then to Debenhams (thanks to freebies thread for the £5 voucher), DD2 got a baby giraffe (toy!!!) and DD1 got jelly babies. I've also started on stocking fillers (chocolate reindeer and little boxes of jellie bellie beans).
Went in Jones Bootmaker next, and no-one could be arsed to serve us so we left, and they lost a sale. Pretty sure DD1's boots fit fine anyway.
Girls got haircuts (£40 ouchie), there was no screaming, even with the hairdryer on which was a result. Then home, to get post - we're lucky if it arrives before lunchtime here.
Excellent post, £119 from tax office, dylon for the bunting, a free sample of Bepanthen, and DH's payslip. All good.
The dylon is in the machine at the moment, the bunting and DD1's pale pink jeans should soon be "intense violet" or near as.
Expensive day, and final fling before maternity leave I think. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
