  • :p I think that is the longest post i have ever seen from you.

Shoot - you just reminded me that i need to get my two's feet measured. DS1 at least will need shoes i think as he last grew in May, and DS2 was end of August so just might be ok. :o

Decorating is expensive isn't it. Our lovely NDN offered to stain our decking for us to prepare it for Winter thinking DH hasn't got time. Very kind offer, but i had to mumble some excuse as we just can't afford the stuff to do it. Next year. :o

Will find out hopefully on 8th Nov.

Michelle I have the best part of a tin of yacht varnish if that's any good to you, no colour to it, though.
Used it on the parquet floor in the old place (4 years old, but should keep).

Thanks XSpender, is the little one arrived safely? Or just waiting?

He arrived in May so still officially on maternity leave until the end of the year but no job to go back to due to redundancy.

My you had a busy day yesterday.
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75
  • Sorry to hear about your job. Are you looking for another?

    What's his name?

Its stain and oiling it needs really. It should survive the winter without it. We'll get round to it next year some point i am sure. Thanks for thinking of me.
  • The stuff is expensive isn't it? Our upstairs floor stuff is £24 for 2.5 L.

Bit of a quieter day today. Not been anyway and nearly a NSD, except parted with £6 online for some Dylon do dye DD1's bunting from pink to purple to match her new room. Hope it works.

Dry cleaner has been on the blower, and the curtains (2 pairs) which were from Next have partially come apart during dry cleaning. Grr, won't be buying from them again. Thankfully the good, hand-sewn curtains made by my neighbour were fine.

Cleaned and sanded fireplace in DD1's new room, stained it and my fingers dark oak. Touched up the paint in DD2's new room, need to evict some more ancient carpet tomorrow as the tip is open.

Then, having done well all morning, made some appointments and done some organising as well as a bit of DIY, I conked out and slept for 2 hours. OOps! Blame it on the pregnancy, very pleased as 19 weeks nearly and haven't gained any weight. That makes me sound like a bonkers neurotic, but I really do not need to gain any more weight. Have got a bump, though.

Worrying news is that MIL is in hosp with something that was supposed to have been sorted out in the summer. She hasn't eaten for a fortnight apparently. Scarey that SIL who lives around the corner and eats out with her once a week hadn't noticed. We are a 6 hour drive away, so hard for DH.

Rubbish weather, so giving thanks today for the roaring fire in the woodburner, and will pray for MIL - waiting on a CAT scan.

Names on the list for the puppy, after consulting the ladies in the pregnancy club...

coffee, mocha, nutella, clue, raisin, truffle...any thoughts?

  • lav that is such a lovely age, I see now from your avvie, how could I not have noticed that? One vote for mocha then.

One of the girls' suggestions was "Fried Egg Sandwich" but I'm not wandering round the village shouting that when she goes missing.

I've decided to fiddle with my siggy and put in the bottom deck

    outstanding mortgage/house value/loan-to-value percentage

house value is a mean of mouse price and zoopla, since I got away with using that figure last time we remortgaged.
Each time we spend money on the house instead of overpaying I figure it will improve the LTV, which long term will help us to overpay, we really need to be down to under 60% for the best deals, the way things are at the moment.

Who knows what the mortgage market will be in 2015 when we next remortgage, though?
