  • Thanks, cath that's very kind. I'm afraid its more anti-progress at the moment, as all we have done this week is spend money. Makes me realise what holidays do for the budget, though, even when we stay at home!

  • Thanks, kolacube. Apart from not eating much for a fortnight, MIL says she feels fine, that's why I'm so confuzzled as to why they have all decided she's had her chips.

Noah and Evie are lovely, too many Evie's at school for me, and I have promised DH if its a boy we will call him after both his grandparents, so he will be Thomas Peter. Lots of Thomas's around too, I know.

  • Ok well DH is now so in the doghouse he is getting pedigree chum for dinner. He only rolled up DD2's rug (almost new, pink gingham Laura Ashley) with the old carpet and deposited it at the tip.

He only realised when I asked him where it was.

I now seem to have 5 or 6 kiddies for tea tomorrow before trick or treating. AAArrgghhh!

Was pleased with the soup, next time I'm putting a cooking apple in it. And we've had a quote for sorting the drainage in our field, £1000. A job for sometime in the future I think.

  • Mad day today, have to do basically the whole house tidy and clean, and trick or treating. Hope everyone remembered to put their clocks back.

  • The hideousness of the dining room has been tackled, after 2 hours of carefully sorting and categorising toys we had had enough and chucked them all in a bag. The floor is now visible, though, and two bin bags have gone in the attic and one in the bin.
Sitting room and loo cleaned and tidied too.

I'm exhausted, really really done in, I think its emotional rather than physical, I find so many toys really quite opressive. DH is going to pick up a bit of carpet as a temporary fix for the bathroom, and we have won the lottery! Ok just a tenner, but better than a poke in the eye...

    Hi GFH!!

Our house is a tip at the moment too, we've just had new radiators put in the whole house, the living room and DS's room are bare as we got them reskimmed, the doors are all coming off and new one's put on, with the downstairs getting new door frames too!! The parquet floor is covered in plaster, the carpet on the stairs, landing, my room and DS's room are all getting replaced, and we just ordered a new sofa suite....

All to be completed before Christmas or I am moving out!!!:D

  • Goodness nellis you haven't exactly sat around doing nothing have you?? Its really tiring isn't it, the extra stress of everything being all over the place.

Wonderful when its all put back, though, and everything is clean and just how you want it.

  • Right, Halloween survived with no disasters, so far! Completely exhausted, managed a NSD, yay! Mother of one of DD1's mates is having marital and money problems, poor love.

The vicar was very sanguine about his visit from 20 small people dressed up, and killed two birds by handing out leaflets to the next family service, loving it!
