a free supply of disposable incontenence pads that were great when the boys first slept nappyless at night......

I had DS2 at home, DS1 (then 16 months old) was in the next room. DS2 cried, and over the baby monitor we heard DS1 say 'wah, wah baby' and then he did an audible monster nappy fill which lucky Daddy got to change. Happy days :D

*waves to hex* Both those are pretty funny:rotfl:

I remember those days with Belle...she still gets excited about getting home. Ha ha. That said she would walk and play outside for hours if you let her.

Maiden voyage to our local (small, market) town today. She is sleeping off the trauma, but met lots of people, one very calm springer spaniel, and gained a new toy, so not all bad!

Thanks, shame the budget doesn't match it:o

Been to ballet with DD2, got DD1 new riding boots, DH is getting the cot out of the attic, OMG I'm really having a baby:eek: and puppy love is getting her eviction from our bedroom tonight, think she is ready.

Going to do some washing in a minute, and get the DDs to tidy the playroom of doom.

    OMG I'm really having a baby:eek: .

You only just realised? :rotfl:Sounds like you are all still really busy. Puppy seems to have settled in well.
  • I don't know, its just the cot makes it seem real, not that my girls would ever sleep in a cot until about 6 months...puppy has settled in well, still get some indoor poos and wees, but she had adapted brilliantly.

Had a bit of a meltdown last night, from proper exhaustion, it is soo frustrating not to be able to do what you usually do, and last night I had heartburn, sciatica and really severe leg cramps...the full set, felt like shouting "House".

It is hard work by the end of pregnancy isn't it. Not long now though.
  • Soo soo tired. Yesterday we got an invitation to a dear friend's wedding, the baby will be two months max, it is local, and I know it isn't etiquette, but would it be terribly rude to ask her if we could go to the church and then let someone else enjoy the places at the reception? I really don't think I could do the whole thing, but we were in prayer group together and I would hate to miss the actual Church bit??

  • Hmmnnn nectar toolbar is now giving one point per search, instead of half a point per search...wonder if the limit is still 50 points a month?

  • Puppy did brilliantly last night, her first night in the kitchen instead of our bedroom. No whining, howling or pooing. Good dog!

DD2 (3) is giving up nappies at night for Lent. DH and I are giving up eating childrens' leftovers, dreadful habit.

DD1 doesn't know, but I have suggested she give up bossing her parents around.

DH is clearing breakfast, then when he is bathed he is taking puppy and children out so I can conquer the long overdue ironing everest.

Decluttered a bulb kit to my DB...there is a lot more stuff to rehome.

    Hi grateful
How about giving up ironing for lent or more permanently!
I have *gasp* never ironed my children's clothes or DH's for that matter. Shaking and tummy ironing is my way!
My mum used to iron whilst reading before we had a TV. She had the book propped up on a music stand!
I am contemplating giving up chocolate for lent.
Hope you are feeling better today - when are you due?
  • *waves to copperwheat* mostly I fold it up and it gets "pressed" on the aga, but shirts for DH, DD1's uniform polo shirts and all the intricate clothes Mum buys for DD2 because she doesn't have to iron them...you get the picture!?

Giving up chocolate is a good idea, but when I'm breastfeeding I need Mars bars!!

Feeling ok thanks, and due in 3 weeks, but getting niggles so strongly suspect baby will be early.

Watched a film from 1981 with John Travolta in it called "Blowout" last night, it was excellent if a bit bleak.
