Just called up and was naugthy and played my local two firms off against the other and ordered 2000 litres for £1233.75.
There goes the £1500 OP i was planning!
Mortgage free - 01/05/2019, mortgage high £200k 20110 -
We had a completely useless electrolux fridge freezer and we replaced it with a Liebherr one. Was quite expensive but very happy with it so far. Good reviews on which etc. From JL so should be able to find it on their website.
How's the world domination coming on?:D0 -
I've got a beko 7L upright which is good on being frost free and worked in the garage in spite of all the horrendous cold weather. I am a bit unsure whether to recommend though as the shelves are in grooves in the sides, and they are constantly coming off the rail when pulled out, and then it is really hard to get back in. It was the cheapest make. There was a nice Samsung one to match my fridge with a silver outside, but it was double the price we paid.0

I normally do that :rotfl:not this time, though, I am desperate and had to go with a company who I know to be reliable.copperwheat wrote: »We had a completely useless electrolux fridge freezer and we replaced it with a Liebherr one. Thanks, they do say (and this will date me) that nothing sucks like an electrolux:rotfl:
world domination...well there is a slight crimp in my plans at the moment due to having zero energy. I have a new understanding of people with ME and other debilitating illnesses who have no energy. I will have to content myself with plotting...

Thanks for that, I know what you mean about grooves in the sides, and that design doesn't worry me. Really I would go for a chest freezer, but my paranoid self is too worried what might happen if one of the smalls fell in:eek:
Hmnnn can I justify it?Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Never mind a smally falling in, i was worried i might topple in, or never be able to reach the stuff at the bottom. lol.
My 7l upright has a huge capacity. I get loads in. I could probably do a couple of months on the contents of that and my pantry if i had to.0 -
Always worth considering what you would do in an emergency, with children. Especially here where transport links are weaker.
Just got module results and they are not as I would like. Some resits coming up, methinks! Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Day at home with DD2 today, hoping to potter and get a few things done. Too much on at the weekend that I don't feel I can get out of, including fundraiser for spurious charity.
DH is having hassle at work, I am soo furious, his Ma died of cancer and he had three days off, including the funeral. Lots of people would have had weeks or even months. Stupid idiots. And they dared to mention the fact that he is on paternity leave soon which makes me so cross, so I made him join the union last night. Only about 7 years overdue.
eta on the austerity front...fuel for the cars budget is WELL under control this month, which is great news, in fact have worked out that DH could take a £200 pay reduction without even noticing if he got a job close to home, since fuel costs are so high. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Is it management or just colleagues making their mouths go? I know the type.
Fuel costs are particularly high aren't they at the minute and likely to get worse. Some months we spend more on fuel for the cars than i do on food for our table. Crazy situation.0 -

He has dealt with two of his department having ridiculous tantrums in the last term and a half, plus his Mum dying, plus an almost completely incompetent new manager. Now his dept's results are down (probably a result of the teachers' tantrums taking their minds off the jobs) and so he is having to explain it and plan a strategy. This is fair enough as it goes, but that they dared to ask him what he was going to do before paternity leave, and were stupid enough to write it down... they wouldn't dare ask a woman what she was going to do because her maternity leave started on x date.

I suppose we can vary the menu for us but not the cars...Our cars definitely eat better than we do! 2 people commuting is very painful.
TBH if Dh said "sod it" and got another job closer to home, it would probably save us a load of cash, rather than costing it. He won't though, he loves his job and he's really good at it, despite the muppets. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
