On a less ranty front...puppy has met another puppy and had an excellent game. I have turned off the central heating and lit the fire. We have logs aplenty but not so much oil.

I am thinking that maybe we should get a few more woodburners put in (there are at least three more places we could put them in) and become less dependant on oil.

And I am up to £32 on yougov.

  • Well puppy has met the littlies at the primary school - all 15 of them! She was very brave and didn't disgrace herself. DH is in the doghouse for having his phone off this afternoon, not much good if I go into labour.

    On the upside, its Friday!!!

  • Ploof! Mad day...ballet, DH picked up our ebay bedside tables, fundraiser for the spurious charity and ...collapse! House is a pit, tomorrow needs to be all about housework but will try to get DD1 a riding lesson if possible.

Few quid spent on chocolates as a draw prize and toothpaste. Exhausted. Someone I used to work with's son has been charged with murder

  • DH is putting up the cot, only about 4 weeks after first intending to, we need to measure it and get a mattress. Very pleased with bedside tables, £13 each, they are in much better nick than I expected and smaller, so fit the space better (yeah I know I should have measured them!).
Spent £30 on amazon voucher for DD2's godmother (she is only 20, and a student) and will need to search for cot mattresses when DH has done the deed. Last time he had to do something like this he reckoned on 30 min and it took about 3 hours...hoping he is a bit quicker today.
Wm and dw are on, all dirty washing collected, puppy asleep on my feet. We are being very hot on bite training at the moment, and she is learning fast, bless her.
Fire is lit, we are not having the central heating back on if we can help it, both DDs complaining of cold, but since one wandering round in thin pyjamas - not wearing her dressing gown, and one working her summer wardrobe with no socks or jersey, they will have to get on with it!! We may have to stick it back on when the baby comes, but we managed without it when DD2 was a baby...we didn't have heating of any description then, but it was September.
I need to do meal planning today and online shopping. I also have a report to write for primary school, ironing, and endless decluttering.

  • Cot mattress ordered, meal plan done (ish) and online shop. Hard floors and downstairs loo next. Then lunch.

  • Hard floors (well, tiled ones) done, DH did downstairs loo. I have sent him for a sleep then he is taking DDs riding, and I can sleep.

  • Rubbish night, DH being sick all night as his indigestion was so bad (my great idea for a curry by way of a baby eviction notice) then DD2 wet her bed.

Going to town today, no especial reason, just for the ride.

Oil was delivered, they filled the capacity of the tank so we must have been down to the last 2 teaspoons!

  • Ooh finally got my £25 from greasy palm.

I have to write a report today for school about writing. I have been super dynamic and sorted out all the resits for my ks4, hoping my replacement agrees, its very good of them to keep me in the loop.

Actually, I'm really happy with the results when coursework is factored in, just hope the little darlings hold it together for the next few months.

I have sorted DH's union insurance, and spent an OBSCENE amount on new pillows...well £15 a pop, but 8 of them. They are the exact ones fogarty makes for premier inn, I know it sounds crazy, but they are FABULOUS. The ones we have are 4 years old and basically died after one wash (white company, don't touch 'em).

We were moaning last night and decided we had to do something.

Poor DH is having a rubbish time at work still. DDs are out on a social after school so I have AGES to lounge around, though I do have a list of things to do.

Puppy is asleep on my leg, she is such a baby...there were dogs barking on "waking the dead" last night and she had a panic attack and had to do a wee in the hall. She has met some more people today, and socialised with the lovely golden retrievers again. She is getting a bit more confident.

So not a very MS day today, but yesterday was - I only bought some gaviscon pills, delicious. Bathroom brochures arrived in the post this morning, so I have been perusing those.

Bless your little pup. My baby girl (puppy for those that don't know) was a SUPERSTAR today. No panic or even second glances at anyone we went near. Then we went onto the park....naughty mummy let her off the lead for a run (after mummy checked REPEATEDLY no other dogs were about). She was SOOOOOOOOO good. Just ran round and round and round AND round me in circles. Every time I moved in any direction she legged it after me.

Soooooo good. I'm very proud. x
