  • Hmmnnn. Who needs resits, can school afford them all, will you get parents to pay, revision sessions after school/in Easter/In a lesson where they've finished syllabus like short course RE? Is everyone getting the help they need - scribes et.c. um...flagging up the importance of contacting home, lots of praise for people who turn it around...are you needing them to make two levels of progress in a key stage? How do you work out the projected A*-C and A*-G percentages, and ebac percentages?

If you can answer all those, you'll be a man, my son!!

But yeah...any help mucho appreciated. I think most of the questions will be based around year 7.

Oooh one question I saw which I wasn't sure of the answer too...I'm also ashamed I don't know.

Two kids are brought to you at lunch and one has scratches down their arm. What do you do?

Um, I'd separate them and leave them to cool down for a bit, speak to the person who brought them and ask what they knew before I terviewing each child individually (dead quick like ). Think the key thing would be to work out if it's a child protection issue or not

Um... ask them to tell you what happened, separately. Maybe not assume one kid caused the scratched on the other? Decide on what you think happened, assuming no witnesses. I'm with Judge Judy, if it makes sense its probably true (DON'T mention her in interview:rotfl:) get the scratched one first aid if needed, contact home in an informal way so you don't get the "my child was attacked in your school and you did nothing" approach. Counsel them on which part of the school rules they infringed, and how we are nice to each other in this school...check if there's an underlying problem...inform tutors. That's plenty, surely??? What would you actually do?

  • I'd probably do the above. But I would like to tell them to get lost and stop bothering me with their silly babyish squabbles........

Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

You'd need to know which pupils would impact on school's cva scores though you'd need other subject data for that too. At our place we routinely ask for remarks on borderline cases.

Hang on, didn't you say yr7? Actually what is the post you're going for?
