I'm defrosting the freezer of doom, which was more ice than food. Exhausted, but have organised some good things today.
Parents' evening tomorrow. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Parents' evening done. I haven't exactly been a model of competence today. NSD on the bright side. Freezer done and so eating up the contents, which may mean chilli two days in a row, but ho-hum.
Will lift share with DH the rest of the week which will save £20 ish in diesel. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Interesting day today, I have been a bit zero tolerance at school! Would be a NSD, but Mr S due. Its blowing a massive gale and pouring with rain here.
Following the very sad news today, I'm trying to get DD2 a private 'flu jab. It seems so wrong me and DD1 being done but not DD2.
We have had a quote for replacing the bits of the water system that perished in the freeze, its the business end of £600. We just can't do it at the moment, although it would mean an upgrade.
The girls had a lovely parcel from DD1's Godmother in the U.S. posted early December!!! DD1 had a little more in her parcel as the Godchild, and said unprompted "can I share my gift card with DD2?" which I think is soo soo sweet of her.
DH's brakes are not doing all they should be...nooo not another car disaster, please! Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
I've been a bit zero tolerance since we got back full stop! I just haven't the patience for it at the minute. I can certainly tell it's exam season anyhoo.
I have asthma and was ill most of last year. I got my jab yesterday but had to fight for it. The city I live in is apparently TOTALLY out of it now. Can't even buy it.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Sample conversation...
"I'm not doing my c/w 'cos you stood behind me and annoyed me when I was doing it so I had to throw it in the bin"
"you won't get a GCSE without it"
"that's your problem, you'll look like a crap teacher"
"actually the rest of the class have done so well their results will cancel yours out"

Bless. My bezzie works in my department as well (we trained together and everything), she's finishing at half term and it's just hit her this week. She's so tired bless her and I feel awful I can't do anything to help her out.
Thats a point, is there anything you'd love someone at work to do for you either out of niceness or just to make your life a bit easier. I really would love to help her out a bit more. She's had a hard time getting to this stage (miscarried last new year) and I want her to be a happy mummy to be.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Grateful - that conversation with the kid makes me remember why i got out.
Flu jabs - my two had them last year, so i am kind of hoping that they will be sort of covered. Especially as 2 people in Rotherham have died already. One was a 16 year old boy who shouldn't have been high risk.
Twinklie - it can really be the little things at this stage like someone taking you a cuppa so you have time to run to the loo for the millionth time in the short breaks you get, or help her out to the car if she is taking books home. I had two people looking out for me, one was my lab technician and one was one of my male colleagues, and i would find they would bring a cake in for everyone, but make sure i had 2 bits to keep my energy up. :rotfl:0
