Glad you had a nice day, hope news of MIL is positive
  • Thanks, yukkibear. MIL got on well with the macmillan nurse as you would expect, as everything I have heard about macmillan is that they're fab. She's doing as well as you would expect, I think.

Busy but happy day, did fire writing with chemclub, anyone else do that?

I love doing that....so much fun and nice and easy to do...providing you don't mind a few setting the damn thing totally on fire! Ha ha

  • Chemclub is only the select few, so its easy to manage! Its great fun isn't it!

Naughty today, managed to spend £25 on incidentals and deposit of £65 for puppy. We didn't choose one as going back in a couple of weeks, but am a besotted wretch, spent about 40 min with one on my lap. DDs loved it, and they are off at a party now with DH.

    I have been asleep.

We have not had the usual daily call from SIL winding DH up, so I guess she is still not speaking to us. Blessed relief!

Well if you want any help or advice about your pup...then give us a yell. My little monster is nearly 9 months now. I'm sure you know how to deal with a puppy etc, but it's always handy to know others with them.

I've just spent a fortune on ours today - bought dog ramp for car (shes not far off 6 stone), food, a new kong (don't consider this a toy as it's her "work" while I'm out of the house), and a toy (she just killed her last one)!

Our biggest problem with her is the fear of kids. She gets really jumpy round them....not good when you are a big dog. All stems from a little boy jumping on her at the park!!

  • Thanks, twinklie. I am looking forward to her trashing the house!! The mum and the sister are really calm, and the Daddy has a good rep, though we haven't met him.

Yeah...it's been tiring but well worth it. Our house hasn't really been trashed to be honest. She's not chewed anything except a door we hung about a month ago. We thought she might so it wasn't a big deal (or an expensive door).

She's been a really good girl for the most part. Oddly at 7 and a half months we had issues with her in the night time for no reason...but that's sorted itself out again. What you going to feed? Are you crating? I'm so jealous you'll have the puppy smell in your house....sooooo cute.

  • The breeder is feeding a food they have a franchise for so we will stick with that while she's little. We're not crating her, we will just have to work really hard.

The puppy smell was what got me today!

  • Busy today washing and tidying and cleaning. We have an unpleasant unwanted visitor this afternoon, but it will soon be over.

DDs have been making foam animals from a kit they won at a party yesterday, and this afternoon I have to iron. Optimism blend aromatherapy is in water on the aga, since I am struggling to stay optimistic at the moment, despite all the lovely things happening, there are also some dreadful ones.

Had a bizarre Dr Who-as-metaphor-for-God dream last night where I was a robot and he was permanently switching me off, woke up with a gigantic and unheard of panic attack, barely able to breathe.

Can do without another of those for a while...NSD which is just as well.

chores day here too. Every weekend is the same isn't it really. I live in hope that one day we will enjoy it all and not feel so rushed on a weekend.
