  • We are looking at the weather forecast this morning and it seems to have got a lot more like snow and a lot less like thaw for next week. We may have to cancel trip to visit MIL, but we can cancel the hotel up to the day before, so will make a decision then.

Will be a NSD today unless the log man gets his trailer up the hill, which is unlikely. Going to do chores today and finish the wrapping.

DD1 is having a massive tantrum as she has had the same "pony in my pocket" off the advent calendar twice (!!!!!!) she is 7...I have made it very clear that I will not be bothering next year if that's the reaction it gets.

  • Sometimes makes you wonder why the heck you bothered doesn't it when that is the response you get.

I think everyones kids are at it though aren't they. My sisters 7yo found his presents and then had opened them and sat playing with them. She was tearing her hair out. Her 10yo had tried to rewrap some of them as he knew she would be upset.

I am going to be showing mine a portable north pole video later from santa in the hope they might up their game till he visits. MAybe something you could try?

The weather is not helping though is it. I am fed up of being in. My 2yo said to 4yo today that he couldn't wait till he went back to school. Out of the mouths of babes. Personally, i can't wait till both the PITAs are there. ;)
  • They are all like it, they're overexcited. I might try the Santa thing, thanks.

I'm actually thinking we may be snowed in all holiday, the forecast has got a lot colder today...

DD2 was stomping around the house saying it was all rubbish yesterday, when I asked what was rubbish, she said "no presents in our stockings"...they had got them out of the airing cupboard and put them up days ago.

She cheered up when I explained it was only on Christmas Eve that it happened.

:rotfl: I'm losing track of time too. Spent about 10 mins when I woke up trying to work out what day it is!
Hope the weather improves a bit. I might try going for a walk later as I'm getting stir crazy again!

  • That is such a good sign, when you wonder what day it is, you know the holiday is doing you good.

  • Just received a card from MIL, with cheques in, biggish cheques. The girls already have presents from her, so they are getting clothes as well.
I'm going to save mine so I have some spending for maternity leave, maybe post-baby-weight new clothes. Lucky us.

Also got nearly £50 car tax refund, yay!
