i'm made of good scottish stock... some white stuff won't stop me it would be a whole lot better if they would grit or plow the damm roads though. Best car in this stuff is my sisters little saxo. I am fully stocked with food, my BP being sorta well behaved my mum and father in law will be getting stabbed or something for just being idiots. FIL because he is just a fool and my mum because she thru a strop my 2 year old would be proud of because I am not doing mashed potatos for christmas lunch. Yes I am cooking for 8 adults and 2 kids, my pelvis is shot to bits, my blood pressure thru the roof and comments like ooo i would rather have roast beef and yorkshire puddings or oh what you mean your not doing mashed potatoes?? you have to do mash, its not christmas without mash then I will scream and snapMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

Oh dear, LP I have never known anyone have mash on Christmas day. Can you tell her grateful says "pi$$ off and cook your own Christmas dinner then".
Or maybe less inflammatory, "children are starving in the developing world" or "the homeless people can have yours" or "if you eat up all your main course, dear, you are allowed some pudding".
You've the patience of a saint.
Snowed in doesn't bother me and the new motor performs admirably, especially when I remember to take off the handbrake...its the will we won't we of visitng MIL next week, I'm not prepared to take the kids out in the car on the snow.
Well I've done a load of washing and lit the fire, next job the briwaxing.
We had a sweet but dreadful card yesterday from some friends of MIL, sweet in that they sent the DDs a tenner each, and they haven't ever met them, dreadful in that they said "we loved MIL so much" as though she was already gone. Hoping DH didn't notice, as I wasn't pointing it out to him. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Beds and briwaxing done. 2 inch splinter removed from finger.
Ironing next and then tidying up.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Last job of the day is the civilising of the house for guests. The log man made it, great joy...we will be warm...and in reality I will just fluff round the edges of the house and what doesn't get done, doesn't get done.
Happy Christmas if I don't get back on.
Must remember to put the sparkling wine in the snow to cool! Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Nice smilie, jellie.
I have just been very bad and bought the puppy a cath kidston bed...but it was £20 in the sale, and they go for more than that in a pet shop.
Hope everyone had a jolly Christmas, we are just waiting to see if we get a thaw, and go visit the outlaws, or get more snow/ice and don't.
They are helping the situation by ringing every day to find out what's happening. WE DON'T KNOW even the met office aren't too sure.
We had a lovely Christmas. Bit worried about our village pub, its has suffered in the extreme weather business wise. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
