I am doing good, watching the news and feeling very envious of the ski conditions in Glenshee,

gallygirl this is probably TMI, but the only time I have ever encountered more than 8 inches, I bottled out :rotfl:

Yes, better to be safe than sorry ;)

  • I'd love to be able to ski, LP, but never have.

gallygirl better to be safe than sorry but have been secretly grinning all over my face at the memory!!!

Well I have attempted to read the user guide for the new motor, I've only had it a month! Got about 10% of the way through it in an hour...

At least I know for sure where the washer and rear demist are and its no longer a guess...

Expecting an irate call from SIL to shout at DH for not risking our children's necks to suit her scheme of things...so put the 'phone on silent ;)

Drive safe GFH. I live about 40-60 minutes from here http://www.ski-glenshee.co.uk/ Much of my teenage winter weekends spent falling on my buttocks fr the pricly sum of £3.50 including bus fare ;)

  • Thanks, LP and Jellie. Journey took 7 1/2 hours, we met ice, fog, sales traffic backed up onto the motorway, an accident on the motorway (thankfully not us), rush hour traffic...and the M25.

I did end up having to go to SIL's house for dinner, which was fine until she chucked a mahoosive strop because she had booked a table for dinner on the evening of the day when we were going home. She hadn't had any conversation with DH about this, and then the next day we discovered that she had decided that the sensible thing would be instead to book a table for lunch (again without any consultation) miles out of town in the oppposite direction to home, again on the day we were leaving. Then guess what, another massive strop because we couldn't do it.

She knows it takes 5 hours on a good day and we have a 3 year old, she knows I'm fairly heavily pregnant and do all the driving. !!!!!!???

DH actually got quite annoyed with her which doesn't happen often. Basically we spent 14 hours driving so she could be sh1tty to her brother and we got a measly couple of hours with MIL without SIL being there like the spectre at the feast. And spent £150 for the priviledge.

    And breathe...

Been for 'flu jabs, doesn't hurt. Going to laze around today and potter. And spend no more money!

  • I have been completely useless today and slept for two hours this afternoon. We are going to drink ten quid champagne tonight and watch a film DH has borrowed from the (excellent) film library at his college. They have an esoteric selection, the last one we watched was about people hitting golf balls at each other, all very arty though.

We will probably be sleeping like babies by midnight.
