I think LilacPixie has explained it really well. Metasteses can show where originating cancer was or give an idea of how advanced i think. Certain primary tumours deposit secondaries in specific parts of the body. Has she had a scan - did it show anything (sorry if you have already said).
I really hope you get some definite answers instead of all this wondering.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
She has had a range of investigations but nothing has showed up. That said, they looked at her ovaries without looking at her uterus, which if it is true (and we only have SIL's word for that) means that someone in that hospital is an idiot.
Monday she is booked in to have exploratory surgery, but DH may be wiser when he gets there this afternoon. I feel horrible not completely believing SIL, after all it is her mother, but partly I think she's so upset she may not be hearing things that are said to her properly.
On the money front, spent £16 on a top up shop (forgot to order milk). Took DDs to ballet. Bloke parked behind me in what is not a parking space, and I said could you move we are just leaving. He said he had children to pick up, I said no, could you move we are leaving, he ignored me.
I am ashamed to say as I left - after about ten minutes of us being blocked in, he parked on double yellows instead - I leaned out of my window as I drove slowly past and broke his wing mirror off with one hand. Well not completely off, but broke it.
I must be a bit stressed. I did say sorry, but that doesn't make it alright, as the Specials would say.
Noone will read any more, I know...Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Thanks, lilac I feel like a bad bad person. Actually, given the car is on its way out anyway, maybe I should have given him the benefit of my towbar? But no, not with the children in the car.
I don't *think* they noticed. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Naughty naughty. You are under a lot of stress which he added to. Just don't make a habit of it. Don't want you with a criminal record.
Our phone bill was about £8 more than normal to and i have no idea whatsoever what made it that way. I never see a statement. Might have to ask DH if he gets them emailed to him.0 -
No, quite right, Michelle its technically criminal damage, well it is criminal damage.
The boiler man has been and fixed the boiler, hurrah! He had it going again, but then it went out, like he said it might with a dodgy oil pump.
We are warm! £138 poorer, but he has only charged me for one visit, which many tradespeople would not do. DH made it to the land of his birth (well, county) and I have nearly reinstated DD1 in her new room properly, we are doing all that trying on of clothes to see if they fit.
These children have too many clothes and too many toys. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Its not just your kids that have too much. They all do. My DS had a temper tantrum as i threw out some coathangers out of his wardrobe. Don't know what that one was about.
DH will hopefully get a bit better of an idea what is going on and take some of the pressure off you. Then you might find it all a bit easier.
Good luck sorting the kids out.0 -
tut tut grateful!
Hope you have some more answers about your MIL and the surgery gives you some idea of what is going on.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
