Thanks pammy. They are all basically good, and even when they're not, its usually a stage they go through and something that the adults in their lives have done to them.
Why not take the leap? Its like dogs and horses, really, if you don't show your fear they stop being scary :rotfl:
Watching "Kirstie's Homemade home" why I don't know, it's the biggest load of drivel, but entertaining drivel!
Not very happy with "Redhill Appliances" today as they are not doing anything about our smeg dishwasher that has a motor packed up after only a year and a half. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Haha I might just do that, maybe when the kids are there, if there are any positions, so I can keep an eye on them!
My sister had a chance of a temp job at OCR this week but cos her son is doing exams at a different college she wasnt allowed due to conflict of interest. What happens with teachers and their children at gcses and a levels?MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Nothing happens, mostly marking is done anonymously and online. For things like SATs (RIP!) you have to say as a marker any schools out of county that you know people in, so they don't give you those schools, and you end up marking papers from the other end of the country.
Sounds like OCR are being v.v.diligent and careful there. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Hello,
As a teacher in a secondary school, I am scared of little primary children! It is just what you are used to......Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
I reckon you can do primary or secondary but the people who can do both well are very very rare. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

i can relate to the MIL situation. My gran is currently in hospital. Has cancer of the pancreas but is too ill for the test which will tell us how advanced it is. It's not treatable regardless - it has the worst survival rate of any cancer and even if there was something they could doo, she's too poorly to withstand the treatment. It's heartbreaking to see her suffer and i hate that nauseous feeling every time the phone rings. Just wish she'd go quietly in her sleep so she wouldnt have to suffer any moreknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

Thanks, hugs for you then it must be horrible. MIL isn't really ill IYSWIM. That's weird about stomach cancer, its pretty symptomless until its advanced.LilacPixie wrote: »GFH - sorry about your MIL, I had hoped your SIL was being a bit negitive and pessimistic. xx
I had totally convinced myself she was. Thanks. We still don't know for sure.
Extreme madness this morning, boiler has packed up (3 years old) and will have to see if Grant will pay to fix it. Had a major DD2 knicker crisis - is she eating them???
And rather disgustingly just noticed I have conditioner in my ear which I didn't rinse off this morning...eeewwwww.
Also will have to build an ark if this weather continues. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Sorry to hear about your MIL - big hugs to you.
Arghhh at the boiler, newer ones seem to be the worst! Mine is 15+ years and although it's not the most efficient (not powerful enough for all the radiators) it does actually work. Do you have any boiler cover?
Raining here too, was a beautiful day yesterday but this gloomy rain is just depressing.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
