I used to have a giant east african landsnail. I loved you way you could tell what he had been eating by the colour of his poo! Tomato produces particularly bright results
make sure you get cuttlefish as they'll need the calcium. If you don't mind the slime they'll happily drink beer from your hand
Make sure you take lots of pictures too, as they grow so subtly that you barely notice it, and the next thing you know your 5p sized snail is GINORMOUS!know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

They are about the size of a small pear now. They have calcium compound to sprinkle on their food.
Today I have done a load of washing, walked dog, delivered smalls to school, had coffee with neighbour who brought cooking apples, spoken to surveyor, plumber and two steelworkers on the phone, formed a plan B for the kitchen, spoken to house insurance company about remortgage, got deeds witnessed and written one letter and one birthday card.
Phew.
House is beginning to look like someone owns it.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Girls to school (narrowly not strangled!) zipped in to get some more glass (£26), and accidentally fell into M and S for dine-in.
Hurrah! For Camel Glass, they not only cut the glass super fast and for a good price, they did a bit of photocopying that DH was supposed to do for me.
Work continues on house, snails are getting through vast amounts of vegetation, gave them some cress this morning and it woke them up!Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

I have run out of building works jobs to do...except to pester the carpenter.
Only 3 episodes remaining of DW, and WHY is Matt Smith no longer doing the voiceover for Bupa ads.
Anyone else think after the heartrending scene where the flesh Baby melts, they have conveniently forgotten that Amy has a baby that she has lost and is showing no emotion about it??Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Target exercise done, house is looking so smart I think I'm too scruffy for it now.
Managed a bit of housework since baby had a good sleep, and just spent £18 on amazon (piano book for DD1, baby spoons and food pots).
It's nearly baby weaning time (wow, that went fast).
Now I just have to apply wine to self since it's Friday. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
..Gratefull....."delivered smalls to school".....what exactly do snails get taught in school?
:rotfl:Whoops! I obviously read that wrong :rotfl:
My house is an absolute tip from having the bathroom done - how is all your work getting on?
Can I be nosey and ask how you're planning to wean? I've been reading about BLW and thought it sounds interesting.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
Phase 1 - Emergency Fund - Complete :j
Phase 2 - £20,000 Mortgage Fund - Underway0 -
i did baby led weaning with my youngest, loads better as my eldest got stuck on mushy food for a while and refused to eat 'normal' food, the BLW eliminated this as he was used to eating whole foods.0
