  • Busy day, been to a funeral and got home in time for school pick up (school let out my 8 year old 4 minutes before the bell).

    Kitchen is a no-go area.

  • OMG I am so exhausted. Is this normal?

Quiet day tomorrow for my sanity I think.

    Today's plan
    • put away ironing...done.
    • chase up electrician... quote coming monday
    • pay house renovation bills...just need to go to pub (for stamps) and send
Realistically that will be it, kitchen is under an inch of dust, rest of wall coming down today. Washing machine is out of action (under a dust sheet).

Monday we have kitchen design guy coming to finalise a plan. Next week steels go in.

Energy levels are low. Baby has a cold.

DH is detailed to pick up ordered-online shopping in Waitrose after work.

good luck with the work, it'll all be worth it in the end, the dust drove me insane when we were doing our house, it was even on clothes in the cupboards!!!

I've been feeling a bit tired and run down too, think part of its the seasonal changes, a few people i know have being feeling the same!
  • Yeah they are neat workers, but even so...

I have found out the answer, I now have a STINKING cold and so does Baby. I decided against BLW, but I will give him finger foods earlier rather than later. He had his first baby rice today, he grabbed the spoon and slurped it up - think he's ready!

Anyone want to swap husbands? DH has TODAY realised he lost a cashpoint card for an account with our kitchen money in it, he last saw it on MONDAY.

    Speechless.

Kitchen work sounds like it's all systems go - i hope the lost card doesn't cause any issues.

Thanks re: the clothes. Once again it is VERY kind.

AM loving your remortgage too - is it all down to a much improved interest rate?
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!
  • Hi cath. Remortgage is down to 2% drop in interest rate. Having trouble getting s/s to work with updates, though.

Clothes, didn't send them yet, stayed home nursing stinking cold. Will do though. x

  • Made it to church with harvest basket, feeling dreadful. DH has taken DDs riding (after a strop 'cos he couldn't find his car keys).

Puppy is sitting upright but fast asleep and snoring.

Does anyone have a mortgage s/s please? The one I have been using won't adjust the term anymore (?).
