Just spent £85 on paint and stuff, £62 on fancy electrical sockets and switches.

School photo today, going to try to get baby in it.

Checked out YBS and how we overpay, and it's much much easier than with the nottingham.

    And lost another pound.

  • Alternative kitchen guy coming tomorrow, the one we were going with is proving pretty flakey.

The novelty of having builders here all the time has worn off.

Had a lovely day until 3.30, glorious dog walk and fabulous lunch with friends. Then picked up DD2, school are having trouble with her!

Hoping tomorrow's kitchen guy comes in cheaper and more reliable.

  • DD2 at home today for a rest. Trying to explain to builder why he can't be in the kitchen while asbestos is removed.

"The law is an !!!" he says. I tell him it's only an !!! when it gets in his way, it's not an !!! when it's protecting him.

You are sounding pretty stressed. I sympathise after having all that work done last year. Nothing worse than having everything everywhere, and keeping the kids out the way. Hopefully you will start to feel better soon.

Well done losing more weight. I'm finding that hard at the moment - i'm on the go enough, but then I eat more to keep me going.
  • Thanks michelle. We just need some let up, if we're lucky it will be Christmas when things calm down.

  • Alternative kitchen guy seemed sensible, waiting with bated breath to see if the quote is ok.

Well 'phone randomly started working. Picked up chair I had repaired (puppy chewed the leg clean off).

I have a plumber, and aga tiles (from Germany!).

Paint samples up for kitchen walls.

Latest kitchen quote was no cheaper, eek!

It's all happening isn't it. Will wine possibly see you through it all?
