Does anyone have any idea of the syn value of nut roast? I left my packed lunch at home today doh! and the only thing in the staff canteen that wasnt deep fried was nut roast. I had a slice of it with some baked beans. Going to avoid any syns for the rest of the day to allow for it to be off the richter scale!0

Hello All
Well done to everyone with such good weight losses this week:j :j
Well, had to go to work today (ususally my day off) and so I couldnt go to SW class this morning.
Lois Lane Weighed myself at home and have stayed the same:( So am a bit fed up as I really want to loose 2llb a week!!.
Anyway will strive to get to the gym and keep on track. My Mum is comming down tommorow for the weekend and she's on a diet too so hopefully we can keep on track together.
She has offered to take the family out for dinner this weekend - however the kids and husband want to go to COSMO which is a dieters nightmare!! so I will try to get them to change their minds.
JJJJ's Weigh-In Diary:rotfl: Total weight lost so Far: 6.5lbs
Week one - lost 4.5 lbs:j. Week Two - Lost 1lb:cheesy:Week Three - Maintained:( Week Four - Lost 1llb;)0 -
Jules, dont worry about the maintain. Consultant has a theory that its 3rd week syndrome. Seems to be common in week 3 of SW. Stick at it0

moiracm wrote:Sorry I haven't been around but having just got back on the SW wagon I then had a week of my little one with a sore throat and cold and now I have just had it for a week. However the good news is although I didn't follow the plan 100% I still managed to lose 2.5lbs yeh.
So now I am back to normal I will endeavour to
1. Stay on the plan
2. get on here to chat and support again more often.
Congratulations to Rachel and Suggs for their amazing clothes shrinking :T :T :T
Hope everyone else is doing ok.
Speak soon

Hi Moira  welcome back. I nearly left you out of the chart this week, I have a system that if someone doesn't post for three weeks in a row, they're off the list, but I had a feeling you would be back
Well done for your 2.5lbs off.

Hi all
How's everyone doing?
Honey - no idea on the nutroast, but whatever the syn value you could probably reduce it by 6 if you count it as a healthy extra worth of nuts
What was it like?
It must be difficult having a canteen at work that only provides fattening food - maybe they need to be Jamie Olivered! I've never worked anywhere with a canteen, but my daughter did some work in her college break once at a big company with a canteen, and she gained about a stone in a couple of months. It was heavily subsidised, and they had a breakfast break, a lunch break and a tea break, all in the canteen!
Kimmie - don't worry about the 1lb gain, it's probably just your body stabilising itself after that great loss last week. You've still lost half a stone which is more than most people achieve in two weeks.
Jollyjules - don't be too downhearted, it's better to maintain than to gain. Losing 2lbs a week isn't easy, there are going to be weeks when you don't manage it. As long as you stay focussed and don't resort to comfort eating you should see a loss next week.
JenPT - well done for keeping to your goal weight. I've heard people say that the hardest part is keeping it off, and though I'm not sure I completely agree with that, it isn't easy. The day you stop thinking in terms of how many points you've had, will be the first step on the slippery slope! (Speaking from experience
).
Geekgirl - well done for your 2lb loss. I've amended the chart for you.
I do my grocery shopping online and had my delivery tonight, along with a goodie bag, courtesy of J Sainsbury containing a big bar of Bendicks chocolate, 2 mince pies, and a packet of honey flavour Ryvita minis  and I have to admit the mince pies have done a disappearing act! I'd had such a good day up to that point as well. How many syns for a Mr Kipling mince pie? I can resist everything except temptation.... sigh...
Well, there's still six weeks to Christmas, and I'm not giving up yet!

Just a quick post to let you know that I dashed home from work late (very long day - set off at 5.30am to Nottingham!) and almost didn't go to Sw WI as I was shattered. But dragged myself and the dog there on his walk and was very happy to have as it seems I have lost 3lbs!
Must be all of teh rushing around and extra dog walks, although I have been quite good this week.
Have now reached my official target set at SW on my first time but would like to move it down a little bit by another 4 lbs to try to allow for Xmas excesses.
5 weeks until Xmas now and hope to lose the 4 lbs by then.
Funny thing is that although I feel slimmer and need new smaller clothes I don't really think of my myself as being thinner. I'n not skinny by any means and could probably lose another 10lbs to a stone and still be comfortably within the weight range advised (at least!)
I guess it'll take time to get used to being smaller?0
