Ooh, let us know how he gets on with the kindle, CMD!

I feel very torn about them; on the one hand I *love* books - I love the feel of a new book and sharing them with people and taking it everywhere and putting it on a bookshelf, but on the other - how amazing would it be to take a kindle on holiday rather than a heavy stack of boooks and to never finish a book on a long journey without having something to read?!

I guess most people feel the same...?

Dinah, that 11 things idea sounds interesting. Tete's right, once you've identified your goals they'll be easier to achieve. There was an interesting article in Zest this month by Kelly Holmes about how you need to break down goals into targets. Which is what you do anyway actually!

But she just says rather than just an abstract goal, such as I want to get thin or have a better wardrobe, you make mini targets like 'eat 5 a day' or 'exercise 3 times this week' or 'get rid of two items of old clothing when you get something new' or 'wear outfits you're happy with every day this week, rather than the only thing that's clean or ironed'

It's so obvious, but it might help - there's not much on your list that can be solved immediately, but it's always good to know you're actively working towards it and doing everything you can in the mean time.

Aw Cinny, congrats on the 3 years! That's very sweet :)

According to one of my colleagues they're no good for going on holiday as you can't read the screen at all in bright light, even with anti glare thingies.

Feeling a little better today. We're selling NIMs car again. It has 12 months MOT now though so should get more for it. that might clear 1/3 of my credit card, which is good as it goes off 0% in under a month.

Glad you're feeling a bit better - it would be nice to have a little cash injection, did you decide you can cope with one car?

PS. Well that brought my kindle argument crashing down!:rotfl: I saw one for the first time quite recently and was surprised how nice they were to read - I thought the screen might be bright and glare-y like a computer screen, but it's all soft and not backlit. Gosh, it sounds like I'm trying to convince myself!

Poddle, I decided I'll be fine getting to work that bit earlier and leaving that bit later, I tend to work longer than the 8:30 till 5 stint anyway so its not a big hassle, plus since we got the truck I dont want to drive the alfa anymore either :)
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Congratulations on the 3 years Cinny, we haven't really done anything big since our first year one.

Thanks! :D Still can't quite believe it's only been 3 years, seems like forever. He clearly just makes my life drag!

Dinah, that 2011 without 11 is a fab idea. Better than a new years res. I'm still utterly useless with them. Selling NIMs car sounds like a plan though!

We're due heavy snow this Saturday. Hope it isn't as bad as it was last time. Not really listening to the weather man in hopes it goes away.
