Tete - I can only echo what the others have said. I would like to think that we are a mature enough bunch to realise that life brings some lows as well as highs and we here to support each other through it all.
I am another one that is panicked about money and sick of debt. OH is having 2 work meetings tomorrow to discuss transferring to Scotland. I hope it works out for us. I just want to be in the position this time next year where the debt is nearly paid off.
Zig - sounds like you are going through a very rough time at the moment (((Hugs)))Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

CMD, keeping my fingers crossed for your OHs meeting today. I so hope he gets the transfer!
How was the party Wendz?? OH is off on his Saturday night, makes me jealous our office never has them. But in all fairness it would just be like a big family meal more than anything.
It's mine and OHs 3 year mark today, but we aren't really doing anything. Gave each other cards this morning but that's it, I think. We normally have our December holiday over the date to kind of toast to it, but we had to cancel this years and money is still tight from the move for presents. Even token 'being extra nice' to each other doesn't work because we're generally extra nice to each other all the time. I'm annoyingly into my book at the moment though so I'm secretly glad we didn't make any extra plans, means I can finish it! I even dreamt my idea of the ending last night, and woke up annoyed incase I'd spoilt it for myself0 -
Lol, what are you reading atm Cinny? I'm on Picture Perfect from Jodi Picoult, always get really into hers so I'm glad I have next week off works to set into it.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

It's Twelve Days of Christmas by Trisha Ashley. It's just a classic romance but different enough to be stupidly interested in. I could never get into Jodi Picoult, I tried one - I think it's called The Pact? They're a bit too serious for me though
Total chick lit-er over here!

Lol they're my light reading, I'm a bit of a classic lit type person. But then there is only so much you need to be 'challenged' just before sleeping.
Not doing so well today, more tears for no reason, everything seems to be getting to me far more than it should.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

The theme on one of the blogs I read today was 'eleven things'. Asking you to identify 11 things in your life you don't want or need in 2011. I'm quite envious of the author as she had things like 'unsexy undies' on hers! But it got me thinking about focussing my mind on what I want, rather than just crying and feeling out of control. So lets see if I can come up with 11.
- Debt
- Court
- Mould
- Surgery
- Podge
- Clothes that don't fit/are torn/completely shapeless
- Depression
- If (1) were achieved, extra money earners, I want to spend some time with NIM
- Predictability at work
- Fear
- Clutter

The party was Ok, only stayed till about 9. Apparently there was a beat boxer after I left that was good. A few bits of gossip going round today as well which is always the sign of a good Christmas party haha.
Congratulations on the 3 years Cinny, we haven't really done anything big since our first year one.
I am more of a chick lit reader here as well, although I always read them way too fast.
Dinah lets hope you manage to get rid of all those things next year.0 -
I'm devouring my book at the moment, really enjoying it, it's very Girl, Interrupted-esque. I love Maggie O'Farrell.
That's a good idea about the 11 things Dinah - once you know what your goals are they're much easier to achieve. I don't have a clue what I want from 2011 at the moment to be honest. I'd like to have my own place but with work being as uncertain as it is I don't know if it's a good idea to go committing to rental places.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Good luck with the list Dinah. I think if you get rid of number 1 a lot of other things will get eilimated quickly after that. I am a Jodi Piccoult fan too. Does anyone read Emily Barr? I love her books.
Tete - am liking the sound of your book. Sounds right up my street. What is the name of it?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
