Lol no Lara - there is a good 10-12" of snow on the ground so no one can really get in or out! Mum has called off the birthday celebrations so I won't be spending all day cooking. Have made the birthday cake, white choc and apricot cheesecake, french onion tart and potato wedges already though.
I feel like I've been given the gift of time today. Plan is:- Box up clothes and shoes to be 'saved' from the mould to send back to mum and dads.

Gah... don't you hate it when you write out a post and accidentally click the wrong button and it disappears?! Lets try again...
Hope the mega cook fest went well Dinah! How much did you get done?
ETA: Crossed posts! Sorry that the party had to be cancelledHow did the cake go though? And since you mentioned mould, I dug out my posh winter coat and guess what's all over the lining?! Guess who's off to the dry cleaners at some point?!
Sorry about the chest infection Flower, it must be awful feeling like you have to choose between work and your health. I'm glad the counselling went well, do you have another appointment soon?
I got some Christmas shopping done at the weekend, feeling like I've made some headway so I'm happier! Just got the boys on my side to sort and a filler for my Mum. OH is never done because I always feel like I haven't got enough so keep on buying right up to Christmas Eve! I think I've got enough to fill his advent calendar now... all I have to do is figure out where to put it now! We need a spare wall!
I've found a new wedding ring! Here! It actually looks better with my engagement ring than the one I posted before, it's half the price of the Goldsmiths one and if I buy via Quidco I can get 14% cashback! I'm holding on until after Christmas in the hope that it'll be reduced... one can dream!
Is anyone snowed in today? I hate having FB on days like this, especially as it's on my phone now because it keeps popping up on my screen with all these people bragging about snow days... whilst I'm stuck at work on my own because the early shift guy has called in 'sick'... I don't want to be cynical and think he's actually building snowmen with his grandkids but....Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
We have about 10-12" of snow here, my parents are stuck at home as both banks out their village are too icy to be passable. NIM left 2 hours ago to do a 20min commute and as far as I know he hasn't hit the halfway point yet. I already had a days holiday today for cooking, but now mum has cancelled the party I'm just having a quiet day at home.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Lol to the day off Dinah. Wait til you have a baby. No such thing
You do get lots of cuddles though, which does make up for it!!!
Love the sound of the French onion tart. Is the recipe online?

No its my recipe, but people always seem to like it. I can type it up for you if you want though.
I know I'm still too selfish to give up some down time atm, plus there are too many 'priorities' - finishing the house, establishing the business, pay off the debts.... which is really why I have no days 'off' - at best I get 30mins on an evening of down time and usually thats only because I have a bath!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I didn't get one!! *pouts* I hoped it would be up before Wednesday, but we moved into the house Thursday and don't have any internet yet. I did, how ever, have to rush around town with my Mum like a blue arsed fly on Friday to get back to my parents in time for her to get her Poirot DVD set :rotfl: You got some right loot though! I saw your tweet about the Wii but couldn't reply cause I was in a rush, hope you don't think I was being rude!
Glad the councelling went well Flower. And I hope you're feeling better soon! I had a chest infection at the start of the year and could barely make it from the sofa to the loo to throw up without getting worryingly out of breath. I don't know how you managed a big shift at work!
Birdie - That ring is so pretty! Sorry about you not getting a snow day. If it helps any I don't think I'd get a snow day even if it was piled up to the windows. My family are very much 'work whatever' people, so we never close for little things like the weather. Was snowing a right sheet on my way here this morning though. I'm sure my none covered fringe ear was crying because I forgot my ear muffs. I can't wait until I have a Percy trotting at my side though!
Finally caught up with everything though. Sorry I haven't replied to everything but the office is sooo cold even with the heating on and my fingers feel like little frozen carrots and aren't working properly!0 -

If its not too much trouble would love it, but just when you get a chance.
