This month we cleared 0.98% of our debt. That's dire!!!! Have tickets for a concert tomorrow night in Leeds, but not going because of the weather, so I'm planning to spend tomorrow working on my dads business plan and listing lots of stuff on ebay.

This month will be better as we've already paid off £600 today, more than last months total! It does leave us with £4.15 for spending money for the entire month though - that'll be interesting.

Your a force to be reckoned with Dinah. Lol!

I got a call yesterday to say that I am being invited for an interview in Scotland in mid December. The thing is that OH still hasn't heard from that job he applied for. Well the last he heard they sent an email 4 weeks ago asking what his future plans are, which he responded to. He sent the application 5 weeks ago.

I think he would be within his rights next week to fire off a casual but professional email asking what the timeframe is for the jobs as I think they should have responded by now, or if the timeframe is longer than a few months, then they should tell him.

    What do others think?

I'd have fired off the email already were it me, but I'm an impatient one.

Got an email from the recruitment crowd who got me the last interview with another potential one, I've less experience in the field I'd be focusing on for the first few months, I'm a total numbers freak in my own way, Dinah even got me a mug that says I <3 spreadsheets on it, and this is the touchy feely side of MR but I REALLY want to get a feel for that side of it regardless as it opens up a whole other avenue for me and it looks really interesting too. But come june I'd be working on the statistical stuff again too which would be good.

I'm due to have a preliminary phone interview with them to see what they think of me and what I think of them as they are over an hours commute from me.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Thats £4.15 more than me, can you lend me some :rotfl:

OH is starting his new job either next week or the week after, although it the long run it will be better. A bit more pay, more regular hours, but its going from weekly to monthly pay and it looks like we wont be seeing another payday for him until January
Seriously dont know how we are going to manage!

Oh dear Flower, that'll be a little difficult, but I'm sure you'll manage somehow! You'll have to ask for food parcels for Christmas! ;)

Ouch to the £4.15 spending money too Dinah! I'm sure by the end of the month that will have been turned into £504.15 though!

CMD, I think it'll be OK if your OH sent an e-mail to ask about the job, it shows he's interested and keen, and it may make them realise that they're being rude in making him wait! Oh and well done on getting an interview! Good luck with your phone interview too NIM!

I'm meeting the Bridezilla for coffee tomorrow, I can't really avoid her any more, although I've managed a few weeks which is pretty good going! Depending on how annoying she is will depend on whether or not I go for Dinah's suggestion of hitting the cake so the dress won't fit! :rotfl:
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

:rotfl:You may well joke but his mum and dad have already told us from now on we have to go round for Sunday dinner every week - in her words it will save a few pounds on a meal a week. I feel like a right charity case!!

I think you should definitely get eating Birdie :D

I really like that wedding ring Birdie! Well done on the weight loss too :) Is the Bridezilla the one who wanted your OH to pay for his own suit? Or have I got confused?! :o

I definitely reckon your OH should send them an email CMD. You need to know where you stand to sort things out. I hate it when people leave you waiting for something. Good luck on the interviews btw CMD and NIM!

Dinah that cake looks amazing! I too look forward to seeing and hearing about how it goes.

Hope you manage ok on the limited budgets Flower and Dinah! I spent way too much this week in the Black Friday Amazon sales but I did get some bargains. :o
