What did you get Zig? Everything seemed to go so quickly! Tried for a few of the Wiis/Xbox etc, but didnt get anything

Yeah it was very frustrating at times. I've got like nothing done this week! And I've felt the last few days feeling really nauseous and bringing up sick which is horrible and doing my head in. Anyway! I got in the end:

    - Black Wii £50
    - Harry Potter 1-6 Blu-rays £12.49
    - Take That Progress CD £1
    - Scrabble Twisted game £9.99
    - Just Dance Wii game £9.99
    - Le Creuset 28cm casserole £72
    - Philips shaver £31.99
    - Guylian 880g chocolates £5
    - Bill Granger book set £15
    - Battlestar Galactica complete dvd collection £39.97
    - Cat boots £40
    - Flip Mino HD camcorder £50

Most of those are xmas presents so I need to go around collecting money off family members now! :D Well pleased with what I got though. I so so so so hope Cinny managed to get a Flip Mino cuz I know she's desperate for one.

Im gonna need a lot of luck :rotfl:

I'm pretty sure I have a chest infection. I have had quite a few in the past and it definitely feels like another one. I'm really wheezy and its actually hurting to breathe now :( not gonna get chance to go to the doctors until Monday afternoon now. I have my first session with councellor tomorrow and then 11 hour shift at work, and they are not open on Sunday.

    Good luck :) x

Can you not get an emergency appointment tomorrow? It does sound like you need to see a doctor pretty quickly before it gets worse.

Unfortunatly not :( need to leave house at 8:30 for the councelling. There for an hour-ish, will hopefully get home around 10:30 - then need to get ready for work straight away and will be there until 10pm.
I'm wondering if there are any walk in centres I could go to on Sunday.

    Really nervous about the councelling!

You'll be fine lovely. I always found it really weird at first, and hard to relax, but it gets easier. :)

Would work not let you take time off to see a doctor? Should you even be going to work?! Othewise yeah, a drop-in centre seems your best bet!

They probably would let me have the time, and your right I probably shouldnt go in, but I really need the money - cant really afford to turn an 11 hour shift down. If I feel even worse in the morning (touch wood I wont!) then I will have to phone in sick.

Will definitely get myself to walk in centre or something though, hopefully they'll give me some drugs lol.

£4.15...ouch Dinah. If anyone can do it, you can though!

Birdie - good luck with the coffee with Bridezilla

Flower- hope you are feeling a bit better

Zig - wow you got some great bargains, I missed it all!

My presentation went well yesterday, a couple of students came up after and said it was really interesting bless them and they are going to apply for work experience so that's good! The lecturer (who wasn't there when I was) asked me whether I was having my first child, hadn't even told her I was pregnant so must be looking a bit more obvious now!

Today I am off to meet up with my flatmates from halls in my first year of uni in London. There is me and another girl, who left uni in seond year but was one of my best uni mates. Then 5 guys, 3 of which lived with us and one who was an honary member. We always used to do 'fake Christmas' together so this is a little Christmas get together, haven't seen most of them in a few years so will be good!
  • Wishing you all the best Dinah.
You seem to have a great attitude and before you know it your debt will be gone. You are blessed that your hubby and you are in this together.

    God bless :)

Well done on the presentation, it's always a good indication when people actually want to do what you're doing! Do you get extra kudos at work for this? Fake Christmas sounds lovely too! Have fun!

Sorry to hear you're feeling worse, try to take it easy and get yourself to A&E if all else fails. Hope the counselling session was ok too.

I really like that wedding ring Birdie! Well done on the weight loss too :) Is the Bridezilla the one who wanted your OH to pay for his own suit? Or have I got confused?! :o

Hope you manage ok on the limited budgets Flower and Dinah! I spent way too much this week in the Black Friday Amazon sales but I did get some bargains. :o

The Bridezilla is indeed the one who is making OH pay for his suit and more or less demanding that we stay over at the hotel the night of the wedding. He's not even bothered about being in the wedding party anymore since the groom didn't come on his stag do, he's kind of thinking, 'They're not coming to our wedding, he didn't come on my stag do, she's being tight about Birdie's hen do... why am I making so much effort for their wedding?!'. I don't even want to think about it until after all my stuff's over and I'm an old married lady!

Speaking of old marrieds, how's married life treating you and NIM Dinah? I keep getting little panics about things changing once we're married and I'm a wife... it sounds so old!

Well done on your Black Friday bargains Zig! That's a really impressive haul you got! I didn't want to even look in case I got carried away, but now I kind of wish I did!

    wow soo much going on!
My weekends gone a bit flat really because of the snow - doesn't realllly matter but I had plans which I was looking forward to grrr!
I'm so annoyed because I told my self that if I got a new job I've gone for I could buy myself some new uggs (with the shudoo 20% off of course) but I haven't got the letter yet (I'm not confident about getting the job but I'm going crazy wanting to know)! and they don't have my size in stock in the boots that I want and I can't find another competitive price anywhere grrrr!!! Least I'm sort of saving petrol if I have a slow and lazy snowed in weekend :)

Dinah my voice surveys aren't any that you mentioned, i have mentioned them on one of your threads before though so you might be a member? I just find that after the £4 company, these are the most generous and least boring company and they don't send you loooads o surveys, but you can generally do all of the ones you get.

I hope your councelling goes ok Flower, and I hope you get better!! an 11 hour shift is a biggie and I know I wouldn't be able to turn it down!!

Wendz thats brill about your presentations well done :) I sometimes get really nervvous before that kind of thing but then totally get over it when I actually start. I've volunteered to do a talk this week to a load of students, need to get prepared this weekend for it I guess!! Also need to get on those darn car insurance websites as my insurance is due and although nothings changed, the renewal has gone up more than £150!! not happy.

Dinah I hope youre knee is ok, and you get that new car soon! You always seem so incontrol its great :)

Hows everyones christmas shopping going? me and OHs is not going very well.. I have got a few things but I really can't be bothered this year! I want to go shopping with him but I've seen him so little recently that I don't think thats going to happen any time soon and then it will practically be christmas! I'm keeping an eye on the grabbit board though to see if anything comes up (or any 20% off uggs! :P)

I'm not going to be able to go home until Christmas eve really now as I have no holidays left :( its a shame because I miss the uni holidays so much!

I've got a bit confused with cash at the moment. I basically have had my bonded locked away savings unlocked, (had them at 7% for 2 years... yessss!!) and now I don't know what to do with them so its all in my current accounts and I am not keeping track of it. I'm a bit worried because its basically my life savings/inheritance and I don't want to spend it on rubbish. I'm tempted to just send some to student loans to pay some of that back so its not hanging over me but I dont know.. The idea was that the interest rate will probably be lower on the loan than it would be on a mortgage so its worth having it there as part of a house deposit but i don't really know. it seems so long away that I would actually get a house. I just want to be able to see what savings are actually new and mine (as in stuff I'm saving from extra income (if I get £10 from my granny etc I'd try to put it away seperate)) and any cash I've saved from my income. grr I think I need to have a think about it this weekend while I have the time.

I hope everything goes ok with you and bridezilla Birdie, I think its horrible when your friends go wierd on you :(

anyways, fingers crossed for the post coming over the next few days! I'm definitely going to have to start posting more regularly again because this is a mammoth post for me and I still feel like I've forgotton lots of people!!
