Well everyone seems to think it will be a girl so I am thinking boy as would be a surprise! OH is convinced its a girl.
That is great you have been in the house and about the sofa Cinny - whats it like?
CMD - well done for the AQA stuff to pay off the coat0 -
Lol it's silver. Really boring!
I had the same thought Birdie. My cousin's wedding keeps getting pushed back a year and is now 2012. My thought when I heard this was that I may have a bump or a pink or blue bundle by then - and they were engaged nearly a year before us!!!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hi guys, lots of exciting news from everyone. I'm going to say a boy Wendz, let us know.
I'm still here, still functioning, not crying too much, except when I think about it (like now). Went out for tea on Friday night with some friends but all they did was talk about their husbands and s-e-x so I came away wishing I hadn't bothered really! Had my hair cut and feel better for that. And met up with a friend who went through almost the same thing a couple of years ago, who also happens to be a psychologist, and she had some wise words. It was actually nice to hear someone saying the exact things I've been feeling, made me not feel so alone in the world. We also went to one of those places where the fish nibble your feet, which was an experience.
I saw ex-OH yesterday and we had the first non-hysterical (on my part) conversation since he told me. It actually really helped - I know there's no chance now, I just need to start picking myself up and moving on (maybe not quite yet...). We talked about the practical stuff like the bills and moving stuff so today I've been cancelling Direct Debits etc, and I'll go for the rest of my stuff at the weekend.
I'll be OK, I'm strong I know I am. I keep trying to channel the girl I was when I met him - I was happy and independent and all that without him then, so I can be again. (Sorry if I've put you all on a downer now!)Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Isn't it strange that we're getting to that age where we're thinking about taking 'bundles' to weddings?! My brother kept pushing his wedding back, it was originally last year, then this year, now it's next year! I think the reason that they've actually set a date for real now is that SIL2B wants a baby soon and wanted to wait until after the wedding, she'd already said she wanted to start trying after my wedding so that'll be pushed back to after their wedding but hopefully I'll be an auntie within 2 years!
How exciting about finding out if your baby is pink or blue Wendz! I think it'll be pink.
You must be hammering AQA CMD, well done!
ETA: Hi Tete! You're sounding more together today, which is nice. It's good that you had a proper talk with your ex too, do you feel like you've had some closure? I fancy one of those feet-being-nibbled-by-fish things, was it good, or just an 'experience'?! :eek:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Thanks Birdie, more like 'acceptance' than 'closure' but I'm getting there! The fish thing was good, felt like putting your feet in really fizzy coke or something, tickled underneath the toes but at least it got me laughing. Had 15 mins and my feet definitely felt smoother afterwards, but I think I'd need a good couple of hours for them to get rid of all my rhino hide on the soles! :eek:Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Still love him, still miss him, still wish...
Haven't bought anything in a while - never racked up the NSDs so fast! Like I said last week, I'm scared that if I buy myself something I'll open the floodgates and end up in debt so I'm trying to maintian some control!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

The only thing I can say is that you deserve to have someone that loves you as much as you love them. If your ex's heart wasn't in it then it was better he called it a day now rather than 10 years down the line when you really would be panicking about babies and marriage. Most of my friends are only having babies now around the 32/33/34 mark so you have plenty of time to meet someone and still do all of that.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Your normal and a lot of us on here have experienced the feelings you are going through. It is rubbish, but it does get better. I remeber with one breakup I used to take it day by day and I used to count the days we had been broken up. Then one day I remembered that I had stopped counting and it didn't matter anymore.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
