  • Good to see you on here Tinkerbel :)

Am £25 away from earning the money for my coat. Should have that made by the time I go away for the weekend. Then I need to make enough to cover my shoes, dress & tops (if I keep the tops!!!).

  • Aww congrats Wendz - you can start thinking of names now :)

Hi Tink, I was thinking of you the other day and that we hadn't heard from you for a while. Fingers crossed you get something soon. Thanks for the wise advice, that's the route I'm trying to go down but I don't feel so strong at 3am unfortunately :(

Off to do some work and try to forget what else is going on - I've never worked so hard as I have these last couple weeks!

Ooooh a girl Wendz! How lovely... I already know the first thing I'm buying if I have a girl! Click! I just hope it's still for sale in a few years... I'm tempted to get it now just in case! But that would be weird.... :o

Nice to 'see' you Tink, good luck with the job hunt! How exciting that you have your wedding dress Swinstie! Can we see? Can't believe you had a crazy gun man running around your village! Was anyone hurt?

Is it fogtastic everywhere else? The windows here are just white, I can see nothing!

That is gorgeous Birdie!!! If I was you, I wouldn't. I bought the most beautiful dress when I was pregnant as everyone kept saying I was having a girl and now it is in my drawer. I can't bear to give it away as a present but my sister is due in March and I am convinced she is having a girl so I will give it to her. That way if I ever have a girl, it will come my way again! Lol!!!

What was going on in the village Swinstie?

Nice to hear from you Tink! :D Was wondering how you were getting on, fingers crossed you get one of the jobs you're going for. I'll get my thinking cap on over making extra pennies, I really need to get back into Onepoll. I think I was at about 50% for the payout, seems a shame to waste it.

Swinstie, What the hell kind of place do you live in? Blimey, I'm guessing by posting you didn't have your arm shot off or whatever but I'm glad you're alright!! x

Awwwh Wendz that's great news! Must be feeling even more real now, and think of all the cute pink things you can get. I'm jealous! (OH has to drag me away from baby clothes atm, but they're just so dinky!)

Birdie that baking set is stupidly cute!! Have you seen those kits that Ikea do? Plushie cakes or breakfast sets. Click! My Mum saw them when we went to pick up bedroom bits and said 'For next Christmas, I'd like a Grandchild if it isn't too much bother.' Then went on to point out what little Ralph or Frankie could play with.

So happy you're feeling a bit better Tete. I honestly don't have a clue how you must be feeling right now I can just offer internet hugs! Dodgy style :D I saw the fishie picture on your flickr, I'd be too scared to do that. Love the nail varnish you had on though!!

Work is really quiet today. Need to start thinking of new ideas to drum up some work for the chaps. We've tried just about everything, urgh :( As quickly as it started getting better we've come to a massive standstill and it looks like we might be having to let some more people go. I honestly think it's just going to be me, my brother and cousin left soon. Rattling around in an Office far too big that's taunting us from when the company was booming. How bloody dreadful does that sound?? I know I have to think pretty nice thoughts but it's so hard at the moment.

Awww that Ikea set is so cute! Just so you know I'm not just planning for girls, I want this if I have a boy! But this, this, this and this for my girl! What can I say, girls are easier to buy for! :)

Sorry to hear about the work troubles Cinny, it must be awful rattling about in a big office on your own. Our company relies on big builders (as well as the smaller ones!) so the closure of Connaught and ROK haven't been good for us, has your company been able to take on any of their outstanding jobs in your area?

I think I know what company you work for Birdie (from that cinema code you sent me ages ago!) in which case, we're one of the smaller companies :D We didn't manage to pick up any work from them, although one of them did take a big contract off us years ago so it would have only been fair if we did. We'll be fine, I know deep down we will but it all feels very rocky at the moment.

Your kids are going to have the best toys ever Birdie! How freaking cute are the bits on that site?! Like this and these!

On the bright side, OH gave the old chap who works for us this coat his Uncle gave him but didn't want. It was a proper Del boy coat! And to say thanks he's given us some new bedside lamps he never used. One thing off the list!

I was going to post links to those two Cinny but didn't want to just link to every toy on the site! Great minds and all that! Love the ark, it's adorable! I think I'm going to have to start saving now for babies so I can afford to buy everything from that site!

Well done on the coat for lamps swap! Seems like a good deal!

You will be right about who I work for :) I think the problem for everyone right now is just weathering the storm and looking for the light at the end of the tunnel... although it's getting boring now!

    Hey Everyone

How's it going? It's 2 weeks and 2 days until I come home, how exciting! I am having a great time in Kampala, but I will be so pleased to get home as well. I am just trying to write this 5000 word paper, so obviously I am on mse :rotfl:

Wendz that's great news about your baby girl - how exciting! We are all girls in my family, but my sisters' kids have been mostly boys. One sister had 3 boys and the other a boy and a girl. The clothes for little girls are so sweet, at east I have one niece to buy them for.

Tete, how are you feeling today? I hope it was okay to see ExOH, and not too traumatic. Glad to hear you are doing some nice things for yourself. Just getting through the day feeling okay is the aim right now, but things will improve. There are still so many exciting things waiting to happen to you in life. Huge hugs.

Cinny the house looks great, very exciting. Birdie I was pmsl at your Sindy comment as well yesterday!! Priceless!

    Hi all,

Tete my heart bleeds for you going through all this. I could go into the whole I've been there bit but you must be sick of hearing it by now. So if you want him to feel how your feeling just let me know and I'll have some of my aquantances pay him a visit :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

All the senior members of the team are off today so its me and the other 2 at my level in the office today, which means I'm basically doing my job plus one of the guys whos in, bloke is beyond useless and a danger to any project he works on but the directors love him so either we carry him or we get in trouble. I've had to restart 2 projects from scratch last week for him and one today. So ARGH!!!

    Hows everyone elses day going?
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.
