    Hello!

I can't remember if I said congrats Birdie on the job interview - sounds really positive, and it's great that you've got time to prepare. A really useful tip someone gave me was to imagine the worst possible question they could ask and then think of a good response. (I didn't get the job though, ha ha!)

Glad you're feeling better too, Tasha! Flu really knocks it out of you! Dinah, how's your knee doing now? Is it still giving you trouble or are you just counting down the days til you can drive again?

Sounds like a good banana bread recipe Swinstie - the one in the Hummingbird book is pretty failsafe too, but I tend to jazz it up a bit with ginger and choc chips.

And Wendz, that's so exciting about *nearly* feeling the baby! Hurrah for leggings and big cosy jumpers :D

How are you doing today Tete? I hope you've got some nice plans for the weekend :) I love your blog and the pledge to try new recipes and take time out to be creative and this is a great time to do all these things. Even if you don't feel like it :( Hope your new hair cut makes you feel like a million dollars! Or just puts a smile on your face for the rest of the day ((hugs))

ETA: Happy Friday Wendz! I'm hoping the weather calms down over the weekend - no big plans, just lunch with the girls and a long overdue catch up with an old uni friend. *must not shop*

I was wondering where you were Tasha. Glad you're feeling better now, flu can be really nasty! :)

Are you feeling any better today Tete? No more crying at wonky pigeons I hope! :o

Busy day here too, we've gone from being a team of 5 this time last year to 4, now the 4th bod is leaving today and he's not getting replaced so we're down to 3 and we're busier than ever! It makes no sense and whenever we complain we get told that we'll manage! It feels like they're willing us to fail so our department will get taken away and we won't be a bother any more. Hence the job search!

No major plans for the weekend, if the weather doesn't get any better I won't be going anywhere! OH is playing Rugby away so I don't have to go down to watch him (what a shame, I won't be getting cold, wet and muddy!) and he's planning a Call Of Duty night so I'll be watching X Factor in the bedroom, snuggled up in bed. We're meeting some friends on Sunday for lunch, they're coming to the wedding and OH is asking the chap to be his best man, awww! The girl is coming to my hen do so it'll be nice to catch up and make sure she knows what's going on and we can talk about costumes too! When I was talking to my other friends on Tuesday they said they were coming as Dr Barbie and Gym Barbie so we need to make sure there aren't any duplications! :D

Have you any nice plans Wendz?

ETA: Thanks for the congrats by the way! I really hope they'll be super dooper congrats on getting a new job next week!

Thanks Dinah, oh I don't know what to feel I'm so confused. I cried in town just now at the sight of a little stumpy-legged pigeon :( But then I probably would have cried at that before...

Tete thats totally understandable, the confusion I mean, and the pigeon, was this at the disco? I think I know the one you mean, he's there a lot, the hawk never bothered it for some reason, probably felt sorry for it.

Congrats from me too Birdie, I'm dead jealous, heard back from the company I applied to, said they feel I dont have the experience for the level their recruiting at. Which is fine if its true but then why did they say last time they thought I was asking for just a little too much money? Confusion, I have lots of it right now :S

WOW wendz congrats. Prefer the real christmas trees personally, It doesnt feel like christmas if the hosue doesnt smell of christmas to me.

So how has everyone elses week been, I'm undecided on whether to have a rant or not, think I'm going to give it an hour first to wind down a bit :)
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Have a rant NIM - you will feel better if you do!

So sorry to hear about the job. It's irritating when things like that happen. I am also job hunting. Have applied for 2 in Scotland that sound very interesting so keep your fingers crossed for me :)

Awww NIM, have a good rant! Sorry about the job, sometimes I think that the company knows who they want in a role and just go through the motions with other applicants because they have to... I've had some terrible interviews where I've picked up on that vibe! I hope that you hear back from the jobs you applied for CMD!

Congratulations on the 6 years Wendz!

I think we're getting a real tree this year, OH has never had one! Whereas last year was my first ever artificial tree... I did miss the smell... and the mess in an odd way!

Treat yourself NIM, have a rant ;) You always feel better for it afterwards!

Ahh, jealous of your tree buying Wendz! I've never ever had a real tree, OH isn't keen on the idea either so we're going fake :D Our tree will look so sad though, we won't have a single pressie to go under it :( Congrats on your 6 years though :D

No exciting plans over here! Been at the house all day today on my lonesome, but I put some pictures on my blog if anyone wants a nosey! :Dclick We'll be at the house making it purdy all weekend, so hoping we get the carpets down next week so we can finally move in. OH is pouty because the sofa he fell inlove with isn't online anymore, fingers crossed the store we saw it in still has it in stock or he might actually cry!
