Coming out of lurkdom to say I'm really sorry Zig :( The others have said all the important stuff but I totally get why you don't feel ready to tell your dad, any chance of making an excuse about ex's whereabouts and telling him later on?

I feel a right weirdo for 'knowing' you all! You're my favourite diary on here. Wonder how many others there are out there lurking?

All this condom talk has reminded me of my first every thread of here where I asked where you could get free condoms without going and queueing up with the 13 year olds at the family planning centre. I was totally slated by people saying by not financially investing I was too immature for the sacred art of lurve making etc, bloody terrified me!

Just remember you dont need to be strong all the time, you've a lot of people who care about you, some you've never even met.

    Aww, sniff.

Glad you got on ok in London with Poppy Wendz, I sometimes see mothers with babies on the tube and don't know how they have the patience, I can barely get myself about London without wanting to smack someone.

Hi Archersluck, it is scary sometimes when lurkers say hello, makes you remember it's not just the few of us prattling on who can read it  Haha, my first ever thread on here was asking about getting a bank with an interest free overdraft whilst only temping, I got someone saying if I can't cope with a measly effing £1500 overdraft then I'm going to FAIL AT LIFE - sheesh! My problem was that I lurked in DFW but then asked a question in another forum where the people aren't always as friendly!

Highlight of my week: a massive load of wool has arrived today!! I need to stop stroking it and start crocheting! :D

Was that on the money saving in relationships ect? Those people scare me!

And Hello :D I always forget there's other people in the great wide world that read this thread instead of just the normal group. Dorf! Hello to any other people reading this. I hope I'm your favourite unibrow.gif?t=1257361973

Oooh, have fun crocheting Tete! I remember begging my Mum to teach me one summer and her yelling at me after 5 minutes for not picking it up quick enough :rotfl: How we managed 3 years of home ed is beyond me!

Oh Zig, I'm so sorry to hear that. Sending you huge virtual hugs from east London! I hope you're just taking it easy and surrounding yourself with friends and treats. It's hard to handle sometimes there's no 'reason' - but keep the faith that there's something far better for you around the corner.

LOLed my head off at some of the chat on the thread today! Birdie, your friend really needs a nice slap with a cold fish to shock her into sense. Sounds like her self esteem has taken a hit and she can't get past the breakup. Maybe you could help boost up her confidence a bit? Go and get your hair cut, do some shopping, some nice things for herself.

I hang out on the MMR board here. It used to be nice but at the min there are loads of threads going down in flames. Eek! Think I will be lurking in DFW for life.

Also I would like to third all the very true compliments that have been made to Tete today. You are someone I really admire :)

Yey for lurkers! Hi Archers, great to meet you. I do love when we force the lurkers out the woodwork, always seems to happen at the most emotional of times.

I think you're everyone's favourite Cinny. You're like our chirpy mascot.

Oooh I post on the Money saving in relationships board quite a bit, I really like the humanity of it. Plus its reassuring to be grounded that things could be a lot worse than just not having two pennies to rub together.

Still beyond knackered from Ireland, NIM has put me to bed while he tidies the kitchen then we're going to do something really rare and wild for us - snuggle up early and watch The Apprentice on i-player and not ebay or survey or do MS reports at the same time! Luxury.

ETA: Had a look to see if I could find out where my MSE cherry was popped, but it only tells me my last 300 posts. I know I found the site through the grabbit thread.

Awh! :D I love how all you on here think I'm chripy. My family just think I'm giddy, easily excited and annoying :o

I found this forum searching for cheap make up on Google. Then started a saving thread on another part, and I'm 101% sure Tink posted on there with me!

Enjoy your night 'off' Dinah! I can't wait until we've got out new bed and I can happily sit on it without it creaking up a storm and killing my posture. OH turned over last night and the bed made such a noise it woke me up! Although OH wants to get a KingSize bed, I know it'll dwarf the room completely. And we'll have to get new bedding, and I can't be arsed with all that. I love my duvet :happyhear

Get one! You wont regret it! We stayed at a friends overnight a couple of weeks ago and they only had a double bed, I felt so cramped all night :rotfl: couldnt wait to get back to my king size bed :D

I'm impressed your able to realise that and hold together long enough to type it already, your a lot stronger than I think your going to give yourself credit for. Just remember you dont need to be strong all the time, you've a lot of people who care about you, some you've never even met.

Thanks NIM, that made me cry :(

It still hasn't really sunk in tbh. Cuz I don't see OH (can't face putting ex-OH yet) in the day I kept forgetting, until I'd see something and go to text him.. I know how Tete felt too now, about not wanting to depress everyone! :o

That's sweet of you to come out of lurkdom to say that - thank you. I had thought of that plan, but dad wants to see him specifically for some reason so he has to go. Unfortunately.

I'm an idiot and looked on OH's facebook and saw this post from a girl who's often at the pub he goes to regularly, asking if he'd be there tonight and now I'm stewing :( I know I'm an idiot for even looking at his profile but didn't expect to see anything really. Keep checking my phone like an idiot too.

I feel like an idiot in general really. 5 days ago we were in blummin' currys discussing which fridge we'd have. :( And we went to the cinema to see Bridesmaids and everything seemed good. In fact, things have been the best they've been for ages. That's what's so confusing.

    Sorry for rambling..

P.S Another vote for the kingsize bed, and Dinah, that sounds like a lovely night :)

You're not an idiot! You're far far from an idiot. Don't upset yourself thinking there's something between them. She could have easily just been asking as a friend, but I can understand why you're upset Hug_emoticon___v2.gif Chances are it's nothing, but if there is something, I'll happily come down there and help you throttle him. NIM can swing by and pick me up on his way down with the flail. Save on double fuel :money: (see, I'm keeping it MSE!) I'm feeling the same kind of grrr towards him I did when Tete's OH randomly !!!!ed off, or when my Sister's just dumped her on the way to the cinema. (You're my online Zus's :D) Boys are the freaking idiots, my OH included.

I hope it goes as well as it can for you when you when you see your Dad :( I'd be tempted to make myself look better than okay, show him what he's missing. Still sending lots of big hugs your way today, you won't be far from my thoughts I promise! x

Zig, step away from Facebook! Only bad things can come of it!

We're here to 'listen' to you so don't worry about depressing anyone, if you need to ramble, then ramlbe away! Although we might not always know what to say because sometimes there just are no words. :(

Another vote for kingsize too! Ours is amazeballs, especially with the superking duvet so there are no duvet wars (most of the time!). Wouldn't really recommend the SK duvet though as it's a nightmare trying to find nice, cheapish bedding that big. We lucked out a month ago and found a fabby set in TK Maxx for £30, before that we only had the one set which made wash day fun, usually meant we were trying to dry the wet corners with a hairdryer at 11pm so we could go to bed! :rotfl:

I can't remember my first post on MSE, was probably in the Arms though, back when it was nice and not full of rubbish like, 'What was the last thing you ate?'. I quite like the relationships board too, but it does annoy me how people seem to get pleasure out of saying hurtful things to people. You just don't get that on DFW but some people get a real kick out of saying things they wouldn't dare say in a conversation, I just don't get why. I get cross when people gang-up on posters too, it's like one person saying that the OP is an idiot opens the gate for everyone else to pop on and back them up! I hate that, it's mean. I might have a bit of an edge, but I don't do mean. LOL at the condom story Archers, kind of proves my point though, why couldn't they just answer your question without the abuse, this is MSE after all and safe sex can be expensive! ;)

It always shocks me too when lurkers appear, I do it too on other threads and feel like I know people but it's always odd to think that people are reading our rubbish day-in-day-out! Was thinking the other day how I actually speak to you guys more than I speak to my real-life friends! Don't really know what that says about me! :)

What are you making with the wool Tete? More baby blankets?

ETA: Good idea about looking fabby on Saturday Cinny! I'd totally do that too. And I'll double the grrr... and want to be picked up if we're going on a Road Trip of Doom! :rotfl:
