I have been, going up to sit with her for a while when my Grandpa is sleeping. But I've just got back from seeing them today, and he was actually awake which in itself is a bonus. But also his hands don't look so swollen, he was chatting away and very back to his normal self. And my Grandma said he's ate his dinner for the first time all week. So I can stop stressing for now!
And that is amazing!!:beer:I was telling OH about it last night (as we sat in a layby eating McFlurrys) and he didn't believe that people actually did it in 24 hours. He had to google it! Sheesh! He sent his well wishes, although I told him it was a little late. Enjoy your massage tomorrow, you've more than earnt it!0 -
Thanks girls!
Cinny he's right, after doing it I realise even without injuries and with a fast car, how much of a military operation it would have to be to do it in 24 hours - not possible I don't think when it's 11 girls all faffing about with clothes and bags on one minibus!
So glad your Grandad's doing so much better xWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Ahh well done Tete, I'm so proud of you for doing it, I was thinking about you, kept looking at my watch and saying, 'Oooh she'll be on *insert mountain here* right now!'! How's the girl who hurt her knee? Enjoy the massage today!
Glad to hear Grandad's a bit better Cinny.
Feel a bit weird today, not quite ready for Monday! OH was at work all weekend doing stocktake so we've not had a proper weekend together and I feel a bit weird and unrested!
Saw the tight friend on Saturday and she asked if we're going to her BBQ, I told her that we couldn't afford it and she was a bit surprised and said, 'But we're not going out', 'Ah yes but we can't afford to buy all of the beer, wine and meat expected of us so we're just going to give it a miss'She later said that if we want to come and not bring anything that'll be fine but I told her that 'I couldn't just turn up to a party empty handed, how rude!!!' Haha Birdie!
Tete - :j Well done! :j
That's such a fantastic achievement!! Huge congratulations, I hope you're feeling so proud of yourself. We were also thinking of you too and checking in on your blog for news yesterday. It's much more important to do it together as a team than in 24h. Poor knee lady, it must have been rough just to wait in the van for you all. Hope you're all going to go out for a well deserved drink together to celebrate.
Glad to hear your Grandad's improved Cinny xx:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Well done Tete! What a brilliant achievement.
Cinny - glad to hear your Grandad has perked up.
I had a nice weekend , went for a walk with my mum and dad and Poppy sat and then watched the queens speech on dvd. Then sunday went to a couple of shops with my Mum and then sat in the garden for lunch while Poppy lay on a blanket under the shade. Then went and saw one of my friends and OH's family.
Is going to be boiling today but our flats quite cool so think will be keeping Poppy in although might pop to new baby group , would love to be sunbathing though!0 -
Birdie, that's brilliant - I would have loved to see her face
Tete, again, massive congratulations! I was another one raving about you to my OH yesterday, ha ha. Hope you're feeling very proud today and enjoy a (very) well-deserved massage.
Wendz, sounds like a relaxing weekend with Poppy and your family. I can't believe it's so hot now! V. sensible staying out of the sun! We wandered to the beach after lunch yesterday and couldn't believe the number of little kids in the bright sunshine without hats or anything. I stupidly got burnt over lunch - we were sitting in a pub garden and I thought I was in the shade! (Feel sore and a bit hypocritical)
Glad your Grandad's is a bit brighter now Cinny - it's horrible to see people getting older, but lovely that you spend so much time with them.
Dinah, how did tapas with your brother and his girlfriend go?LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
I'm a real grump, I don't like it this hot! With being a red head I burn so easily no matter how high a factor sunscreen I put on
I remember when I was at Primary school I had to go inside at dinner time and basically get painted in it before I could go out :rotfl: And they wonder why ginger kids get bullied!
Second Poddle, what you told your cheap friend was pretty awesome Birdie! Haha, would have loved to see her face
Seems like a lovely weekend with your family Wendz, is Poppy sleeping okay at night with the heat? I'm finding it so hard to get any proper sleep with it being so muggy. The duvet has been sent to the floor! Although OH said I woke him up last night by going to fetch it, wrapping it around myself and saying 'Oooh, snuggly buggly!' not that I remember it
And thanks everyone, I think he'll be okay now. He's meant to be driving down to Norfolk in a couple weeks to pick his Sister up (she always comes and stays up here a few weeks out of the year) so he's just wanting to be good for that. And he will be, good thoughts and all that!0
