Should you really be saying that? But you are right, she is very young...then again so was I when we met, just thought I'd remind you of that

Noted.This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
You were young on paper but old in reality. She's sweet but seems a lot younger than her bit of paper. I'm hoping she feels more able to talk to me tonight as I would like to get to know her better.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Ah bless her, maybe she's nervous so she acts a little more dizzy than normal? I'm not a fan of young and dizzy though TBH, never have been so I just hope for everyone's sake she's actually lovely!
I had my SIL round last night, making wedding invitations and she was getting far too excited for her own good! By the time OH got home she was practically bouncing off the walls because she loves the invites so much (that I designed... *pats self on back for being a clever clogs*) and she can't wait to get them all finished and sent off, I have been left with a pile of card and orders to cut out 35 snowflakes by Monday when she's coming round again, so that's my Sunday afternoon sorted!
ETA: Sounds like you're getting a lot of weekends at 'home' Wendz, must be lovely for everyone to see Poppy so much!

Dinah - give her a couple glasses ofwine, might make her talk more...although that might not be a good thing.
Very creative Birdie! Bless your SIL, guessing its a winter wedding then?
It is nice to get home more often now. OH gets 2 weekends off out of every 4 now. Is hard work trying to see everyone though as have to make effort to go see OH's family as don't want them to think my family get to see Poppy loads more. Also tryong to see various friends, hard to fit it all in.
OH and i were talking and there is a possibility that his london weighting might be cut in next couple of years in which case we are going to move back down there. Will be a lot cheaper to live although i would have to get a new job , OH can hopefully just get transfered.0 -
That would be good Wendz, will be nice to be with both families all the time, although it would be a shame to leave your job, I think it sounds like a wonderful place to work!

The wedding is the 1st December so she's got snowflakes on everything! They're having a sweetie table and we were talking about it last night as she's struggling to find really cheap but nice bowls and vases so she came up with the idea of a Christmas tree with chocolates on and having other sweets in little boxes that look like presents! So it looks like I'm going to be wrapping lots of fake Christmas presents!
They're also having a hot chocolate bar as guests arrive, so they get a cup of hot choc then choose marshmallows, sprinkles, flavoured syrups, chocolate spoons etc from the table to make it fancy! Another of my ideas!
I'd be reallllllly excited if I didn't dislike my bridesmaid dress so much!

That sweet table sounds really well, sweet! Don't forget candycanes, you could have them for stirring the hot chocolate. Yum! Imagine if we have crazy snow around that time again!
Dinah, I'd much rather have young and dizzy over someone so cold I'm sure they period ice cubes. (I shouldn't be mean, my Brother's girlfriend has been trying a lot more recently!) I'm sure she'll loosen up a bit once she's more comfortable, I know I turn all giggly and 'young' when I'm nervous around new people.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend! Off out with my OH tomorrow, and a carboot on Sunday if the weather holds up.
Went up to see my Grandparents again today, my Grandad isn't much better
Was sleeping the whole time I was there, I know he's 78 but he's never felt quite so old to me. He's on new meds, so we're all telling each other it's just while they get in his system. Which is a fair reason, but at the same time I've got a niggling feeling we're just telling each other this as it's the lighter truth. Bloody oldness stealing my Gramps away!

Love the idea of the hot chocolate bar! Will have to get you onto some ideas if i ever get married!
Cinny - sorry to hear about your Grandad , is horrible to see them getting old isn't it. I hope he is ok.0 -
Hi all!! WE DID IT!!! :j I have now climbed the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales!! Sadly not in 24 hours, one girl really hurt her knee and it took us 3 hours 15 mins to come down from Ben Nevis (after only taking three hours to get up, we were on target for the five hours we needed to do it in), and because we had a stoopid 60mph limited minibus there was no way we'd be able to make up the time. Once we knew we wouldn't hit the 24 hours we relaxed into it a bit and it ended up taking more like 28, but I'm not bothered in the slightest, just to have done it is amazing!
I really felt for injured-knee-girl, she was so disappointed to miss out on the other two and she'd been so looking forward to it. I'd have felt gutted too after all the build up, if it had happened to me I'd have in the back of mind "But I have to do it SOME day!!" whereas at least now I can say NEVER AGAIN!! I'm not THAT achey today, I feel like I've climbed a mountain but not necessarily three! Have the hugest blister on my foot though and it really hurts.
It is a massive, massive mental challenge, I really struggled up Snowdon (the last one), it was such a huge effort to just put one foot in front of the other - sounds sort of stupid and unless you've done something like that - run a marathon or something - you probably wouldn't understand, but the girls really rallied round and practically pushed me up to the top. I'd underestimated Snowdon - everyone kept saying how it's the smallest of the three (it's not, but in terms of how high you have to climb it's smaller than Scafell Pike), and how the first (and consequently last) 4km is flat and I had it my head as a sort of leg-stratching session after the other two - my own fault, lack of mental preparation.
Sorry verbal diarrhoea there, just wanted to tell you all about it - here's a pic of us on top of Ben Nevis - I'm just above the "great" on the banner - this was the only peak which was not fully covered in cloud and lashing with rain! (Nope, having real trouble with the picture! It's on FB anyway and I think I'm friends with most of you!)
Thanks again for all your sponsorships - very generous and much appreciated, was so nice to think of everyone back in the real world rooting for us
Now, Birdie I'm loving the idea of the hot chocolate and snowflake theme - I'm bridesmaid for my cousin on 22nd December and she's not doing anything really to tie it in with Christmas and I think she's missing a trick, they're having it at Wynyard which was one of Dinah's venue options and I think it'll look fantastic with their decs but I think she's going for ordinary flowers etc instead.
Cinny, hope your Grandad feels better soon, it's horrible when you can see your family members ageing almost in front of your eyes. Make sure you take care of your Granny too.
Hope you managed to get lots of work done Dinah - what's happening with the launch?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
